Did you forget about this thread you started way back in January? 1980TassieMedalist commented about the chances of the thread reappearing in Sep/Oct, well you can bring it back in Nov! :D

It was funny back then and it is still funny now......

I susppose EHL has the last laugh because as he predicted in January this year the Eagles are going to win the flag.....

So he who laughs last laughs the loudest or probably didn't get the joke and is laughing to save face.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I don't like re-hashing threads just to gloat, but I thought it was funny (well now I do) :D

So, officially he has the chance to do it, but I pretty much have done it here anyway.

I was 10% right- he played 1 game for us & was very damaging!

How so?
Im not an Eagles fan, I said the Eagles would be in the Top 4.
They were in the Top 4 hence I was correct.
How does that make me look like a fool?

It was directed more towards the Dogs fans who expected to not only win the flag and beat to us on the last day.

Ahh OK mate, but just remember there's a bit of difference between "all the non Eagles fans" and some "Dogs fans".

I think you'll find most Dog's fans thought it would be Eagles, North this year as we had lost to much experience (over 600 games worth) and only got really excited once we'd finished 3rd in the minor round.

Yes it's true. He who laughs last laughs the loudest. Indeed winners are grinners and beleive me you haven't been able to wipe the grin off my face since about the 15 minute mark of the 3rd quarter. Yes it was a ripper of a year but now we have the job ahead of us to maintain that premiership winning feeling. Now we know how to win on the big day there should be no stopping us now. SANFL beware a new era has just began and I have a feeling you'll be seeing the Eagles playing off on GF day for a few years to come. My early prediction for season 2007 is an Eagles - North grand final ending in back to back wins for the Mighty Eagles. :D 8)
