The West Adelaide Football Club is pleased to announce the following new recruits for
Season 2007:
Luke Buckland is a 21 year old, 189 cm rangy half back that is highly skilled and strong
overhead. A former Victorian Country representative who spent the 2004 and 2005
seasons on Geelong's rookie list and played 34 VFL games in that time. Luke played
for South Barwon in the Geelong Football League in 2006.
Simon McCormack is a 28 year old midfielder, who spent the 2000 season with the
West Adelaide Football Club in an injury plagued year after completing pre-season with
Port Power. Simon played representative football for the Ovens and Murray Football
League for 7 years, while also representing Vic Country for 4 years.
Simon said I am looking forward to coming across to West Adelaide and playing
football in the second strongest league in Australia. More importantly I am looking
forward to the challenge of helping the West Adelaide Football Club become successful
again.
Scott Turner, General Manager
Football Operations said these two players add
experience and depth to the midfield. Both are classy players who will use the football
well and set up play from half back.
