Things we have learnt from North fans by reading the web

Postby Rushby Hinds » Wed Dec 06, 2006 9:45 am

1. Jars is god
2. Jars has no idea
3. North have never ever exceeded the salary cap
4. The salary cap should be scrapped
5. North’s business plan should be copied by all the other clubs (esp. Norwood)
6. Harg’s was fat and lazy and undisciplined
7. Harg’s should NEVER have been let go from North. Jars has no idea
8. Harg’s is a top bloke
9. James Moore never makes a move without consulting us first
10. Neither does Bohdan or Glenn Elliott
11. Hargs doesn't either.
12. Players are falling over themselves to come to North Adelaide because they are clearly the best club
13. North supporters are the best behaved in the competition. If they are ever anything else but, it is because of other clubs supporters. Even supporters of clubs they aren't actually playing on the day
14. North Adelaide officials do not care what is written on a “poxy web site”
15. North supporters despise bad language and any threat of violence
16. North supporters threaten violence against opposition players. Eg Skipworth
17. North supporters are terrific at using "selective quoting" when responding to an internet squabble
18. Any player that doesn't come to us, well, we didn't want them anyway. Even if we approached them first. We don't need them.
19. Under age results are very, very important, and should be remembered and reminded of regularly.
20. North have the best under age development programme in the SANFL
21. It is entirely appropriate to have a team made up predominantly of imports over 25 years of age
22. An ankle injury is an acceptable reason to be heavily overweight.
23. This year is a make or break year, with no excuses.
24. The last two years were the same, but the excuses were valid.
25. If our club is under attack, it is important to mention another club's failings in a similar or entiyely different area. Often.
26. means i'm just joking

He's still my hero even if he is a little bit crap.

A lot of that is good stuff Borat and basically means in short North supporters don't always think the same on a lot of issues and aren't mindless sheep like some other groups of supporters.
Christ, we're starting to get as much attention as the club.
Are you all really that jealous?

Inconsistent opinions amongst supporters is great, as I said it shows they have a mind of their own unlike some groups of supporters that just agree with each other and their club on ever matter.
You'll usually find those clubs at the lower end of the table.
Im well aware that our board have varied opinions on different matters too despite always presenting a united front on the end decisions they make and I think that's great.
Give me intelligent individuals over brainless sheep anyday.

27 Every player at North is in it for the love of the jumper
28 We are the best team running around without any success for 15 years, period!
29 North supporters are the most open minded, but if you criticise any of us on the sites we'll circle the wagons and feel as though we are beating you to a pulp whilst everyone else is secretly laughing at us
30 The Grog Squad is still new and innovative and welcoming
31 We lose better than any other team
32 We sympathise with other teams and sometimes we hope they win just to send Jars a message
33 The Grog squad invented cheering
34 Our second favorite team is always the one that we have just ripped into, and some of their supporters have responded to on site
He's still my hero even if he is a little bit crap.

I will wait to see your similar topics on the other clubs otherwise we might have to mention the word obession again? You are getting as bad as Jimmy or have you two metamorphosised into the same person!

27 Every player at North is in it for the love of the jumper - agreed
28 We are the best team running around without any success for 15 years, period! - disagree
29 North supporters are the most open minded, but if you criticise any of us on the sites we'll circle the wagons and feel as though we are beating you to a pulp whilst everyone else is secretly laughing at us - agreed with the first part, disagree with the 2nd, we're actually all laughing at the people obsessed by other supporters they envy.
30 The Grog Squad is still new and innovative and welcoming - definately not new, 40 years old in fact, definately innovative and definately welcoming
31 We lose better than any other team - disagree, in fact we lose worse than most other teams, ie badly
32 We sympathise with other teams and sometimes we hope they win just to send Jars a message - not as yet, but maybe in 2007, go Port!
33 The Grog squad invented cheering - definately not, but they did perfect it
34 Our second favorite team is always the one that we have just ripped into, and some of their supporters have responded to on site - disagree, mine and most others vary, hell I even vary from year to year, probably Glenelg and Westies last year but Port in 2007
