Season Launch at Tower Bar

Went to Centrals Season launch at the Tower Bar last week. Was a fantastic night but...........
West End said they offered the chance of using the tower bar to all SANFL clubs for FREE.
Only two clubs took up the option. Eagles and Centrals.
Disturbing that Port and West had no interest. A free night for Norwood Fc I would have thought would have been of value aswell.
Think seven clubs knocking it back is very dissapointing. If true.

Would imagine Norwood's allegiance must remain firmly with (one of) it's major sponsors and that perhaps prevented them from taking up the offer.

North also have sponsor obligations to another brewer through it's two licensed prems and a deal re our club's season launch - hence the knockback.

Isn't it a bit early for a season launch, and most of them one or two weeks before the season starts incorporating a calcutta night, jumper presos and announcements of the leadership groups?
Excuse my ignorance but where is the Tower bar?

I think you're right, the one at the top of Magil Rd is the Tower hotel.

Yup, Corner of Magill Road and St Bernards Road. About 8 minutes from the city. Quite nice there!

correct. West End offered a free night as a sponsor of the SANFL.
Only two clubs said we would take it. Very disturbing.

There's only been two clubs for most of the last 7 years, so this is no different then.
