Has anyone heard any news about who maybe in or out for the reigning premier in 2007?. I've been finding it extremely difficult this pre-season trying to locate any info on who might be in or out for that matter. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it's been very quiet on the western front. The only player I'm hanging out to hear about is Skipworth. If we can retain him we should be right up there again next year.

It is being reported here in country Victoria that he will be suiting up in a Bendigo Bombers guernsey next year.....

He'll be able renew aquaintences with Matty campbell when Bendigo play Ballarat or Tasmania....

The Groggies have scared him off.....

Someone (DAMHARD) over on the Snouts forum has posted tonight that he saw on Echuca TV that Skipworth has signed to play with the Bendigo Bombers next year. Big loss if that is the case? Maybe thinks his AFL aspirations are enhanced going there or has Sheedy and Essendon given him a hint to go to their feeder club and have a good 2007 season?

If it wasn't for Oakley, we wouldn't have beaten Norwood in Round 4 to win our first game of the season which put us on the right path to the premiership!

Wouldnt surprise me if Sheedy is keeping a close eye on him considering his ageing midfield, also probably thinks its a good move as I know he was very close to being drafted by the Roos so will be in front of there eyes also...

Very sad to see Skippy go. Surely its just as easy to monitor his form here in Adelaide (also, allegedly the SANFL is a stronger comp.). More importantly AFL clubs seem to be able to monitor prospective draftees satisfactorily if playing in Adelaide, plus he has been on the AFL scene for 6-7 years.

It might have been in old man Hart's interest to get him to go to Bendigo.

By the end of the week Eagles supporters should know if the club has secured a CHB and a replacement for Skippy this was stated by the CEO at the AGM on Tuesday.

CD please keep the supporters informed on this site as the Eagles web site seems to be in the same condition Sturt are.

It is reported in the Tiser today and announced in the press etc in Vic that Skippy has signed with Bendigo so he must have known last night? Why wouldn't he be upfront with the club about it CD?
