Best SANFL ground

Which do you reckon is the best suburban (i.e. Adelaide Oval excluded) SANFL footy ground in Adelaide?

Things to consider are location, atmosphere (of the ground itself e.g grandstands, hills, size) comfort and how picturesque it is.

I live in Perth and through a few visits over the years have only managed to watch footy at four suburban Adelaide grounds i.e. The Bay, Parade, Prospect and Richmond. Of these, Prospect gets the nod as my favourite just ahead of Richmond.

Thebarton and the Parade. Thebbie wins because of the ground size.

As I said I haven't been been to very many SANFL games so can't be too definitive but if you want me to elaborate here goes:-

Prospect: Very picturesque and a nice location (nice suburb I guess) with the park right across the road and it's good having those shady trees on the outer terrace scoreboard side. I love the old grandstand as well.

Richmond: I just like the quiet suburban location and the clubhouse/function rooms are very nice. It just has a certain character that I like.

Parade: I like the unique setting with the church nearby and cafe strip. Similar surroundings to Leederville Oval in Perth. Might have enjoyed it better in the daytime as I have only seen night footy there when it was friggin freezing!!

Bay: Another nice ground and I enjoyed the only game I watched there (Because the mighty Panthers prevailed). Easy to get there on the bus from the city straight down the ole Anzac Hwy too.

I hate to say this but I have to !!!

Prospect Oval.

You can see the footy easy.

You can get somethin to eat easy.

You can get a beer easy.

Then when you need to take a leak - easy as piss !!!

My favourite would be Unley, Northern end behind the goals. Its a pity is hard to get too, longway to walk from tram.
Hate to say it but worst facilities would be Challenge Oval  with the third world toilets and lack of permanant bar/bbq on the southern hill. Oval in need of some water. But it is like a 2nd home to me.

Norwood Oval for historic value, but loses points as they don't sell West end.
Elizabeth Oval is nice with its large trees bordering around it, easy to get to by train even though well over an hour travelling (que Pseudo).
Noarlunga Oval-cold and windy but a great view from upstairs of clubrooms and from slopes of hillsides. Probally park car in ground next season if they still allow cars.
Thebby- okay to watch but time clock and scoreboard needs to be much better. Hard to get too but has great pub across road.
Broadies Oval- Very good bar, quite easy to get to as next closest oval from home.
Prospect Oval- Like it as well, great clubrooms and nice to watch from Cricket club.
Scumbulton Oval- Another favourite for me especially from bowling club viewing point

Never been to Woodville.

it says in the Bible- "And on the 8th day, He created Prospect Oval...." (he then also carved out a man in the image of himself, & named him "Barrie"....)

Oh good a topic we have never had before! Let's also put up a poll up so we can all vote for our own teams home grounds. Then the follow up topics for this one could be:

Which ground has the best food
Which ground has the best toilets
Which ground is easiest to get to via public tansport
Which ground has the best scoreboard
Which ground sells the best beer

I think you get my point?
