"Its been a big week for Sturt Football Club - and there wasnt a footy in sight. The club moved a step closer to opening its doors at its proposed poker-machine venue at 166 Unley Rd after a development application got the thumbs up from Unley Council on Monday. Now its just a matter of waiting for the result of a gaming hearing held on Tuesday. Apparantly things went well, but its expected they'll know more within a couple of weeks. The Double Blues also were successful at a hearing on Wednesday regarding taking over the leasehold of the Castle Tavern at Edwardstown."

Maybe too early to call, but does this basically mean the only club that looks uncertain is Norwood?

It will be a relief for me to be able to finally rest easy knowing the comp is secure. And even better if all the clubs have their gaming operations working well, we won't even have to worry about how the Crows and Paa are travelling either.
