I think Sturt have got the right man to do the job. Similar to Glenelg after they appointed Mickan, it will take a couple of seasons. The bonus Sturt have is that it wasn't very long ago they were regularly successful so that winning culture may not be as hard to grasp as it is for the GFC. I'm tipping them to take the wooden spoon. However, I also tipped Glenelg to finish last in 2006 so they might surprise.

7th at best and that is hopelessly optimistic....i still remember the bad years so im prepared if my team were to ....you know....

Id say that i agree with aerie in that we have the right man for the job in Rick, just not the talented cattle of other teams...i guess all i can be hopefull for this year is that we win a few games, be competitive and build a platform for future years.

of course 5th would be ******* unreal

good original topic

Certainly not pessimistic anyway

Very optimistic. We still have 7 premiership players in our team. 2 magarey medalits. The young players coming through are as good as they have been in the last 20 years. Last year the coach and players did not have the chemistry required and the players were not playing for Sticks. This year the coach is very enthusiastic and he has recruited 7 new players to replace those that have left. All of these blokes are still to be judged but alot will be revealed round 1. I am positive we will make the 5 this year. :)
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.
