COLREAVY is a masive loss, played very well 2006
SQUIRE the champ has retired, I will miss watching his 'zipzap' style
A lot of experience gone, but logically now will rebuild.
Wont be as good as the 60s teams in 2007

mal, lennon retired years ago and colreavy didnt have a good year at all last year but i still would have liked him to stay, is a good player.
we have lost a lot of experience but have replaced that with young enthusiasm. Those older players that have left were in their decline...maybe curto and squiz could have gone on but for injuries keeping them out....would love to have seen squiz kick on but his neck is stuffed.
A long year this year but the feeling is positive amongst blues fans....we know the reality this year.
go you blues!!!!!!!!!!!

LENNON was listed as out in 2007 on the other footy site
Perhaps he was officially listed in 2006 despite not playing.
The wonderful skilled handball entertainers of the early 2000s are gone.
But it was a good era a flag, great spectators team, and terrific players.

he was listed as a departed coach so confusion there for a non-sturt fan i will agree.
yes, certainly the entertainers are gone as well as the most stable backline we had then too....each team goes through these times....this is out turn. our job now is to find some stability and players that can hold down those positions....we are still waiting......

Mal, having read this topic and also the one regarding the top five, nothing is clearer than this one fact;
You my friend are a pork chop.

MST doesn't like people being too mean to the Blues in their ladder predictions, Mal. You'd best be getting your trigger finger all greased up, 10 paces at dusk. You know the routine.

I asked about this player on the Hills forum a few weeks ago, and was advised hes staying at Mt Lofty so i presume hes one who can probably be deleted from the Sturt INs.

Dane Avery will be a very handy pickup. I now teach at St. Joseph's Mildura (his former school) and there are big wraps on him. Seamus Moloney is also an ex pupil of this school. I will be working with him at Imps Football Club this year.
Cheers

A big fella that the other players were calling "Brooksy" played in the Sturt internal trial last weekend. I couldnt recognise him - he was definately a new player, but why should I doubt you
