New Bulldogs logo?

Postby Magpiespower » Tue Dec 20, 2005 5:59 am

Just looking on the SANFL website and it seems that Central has followed Norwood's lead in adopting a new logo design.

Definitely an improvement.

Looks much better on a white background.

I like it, I think SANFL clubs should be looking at modernising songs, logos, etc all to help attract a younger audience.
About time North's Rooster didn't have the Candy Stripes on I feel.
Ironic part about it is most of the the 80s when we wore the candy stripes the logo mainly had a vee on it!

For me, football clubs and tradition go together. Why change something that has built part of tradition..? Everyone wants to change everything, why..??
Smile :)

What is happening to our SANFL guys...

You've got to move with the times, the other 7 clubs logo's are looking very dated (70's), but if you wanted to stick with tradition we could always go back to drop kicks, stop start footy, reserves only (no interchange) etc. etc.
The game has evolved over the past century and a bit, and so should the marketing of the clubs and league.
Well done to Norwood, and now Centrals for taking the initiative.

Not all change is good, Ian. Did you like it when North changed to the Candy Stripes? The V jumper was looking very 70's & dated  . The Roosters logo is a timeless classic. If it aint broke, don't fix it. I'm all for updating the jumper on the Rooster tho... Is this another "the AFL clubs are doing it, so we should then..."?

I still like the Rooster (would love to see a V on the jumper though), but the background/shape of the background etc. could do with a tizzy up.

I'm a traditionalist...leave the logos the way they are..........should be more time spent on getting the grand final moved but do I really need to go down that path again?

<<< I love the logo it is Westies I like the new doggies logo the old one looked like a bulldog crossed with a boxer. I feel the clubs should keep the logo's the way they are but change is inevitable except in a vending machine.
