Money Grab / Charging at trial games????

Found it interesting that Souths opened the gates up to all for the trial game against West last weekend and did not charge :) :) :) :)

On Friday night the gate fee at Norths & Ports was $2.00, this was to cover the charge by the Norwood Football Club for the use of the oval and that is fair enough. Lights, staff and electricity cost plenty

WHY
Why for the game Norths V Glenelg at Prospect this saturday they have put a $2.00 charge on entry into the TRIAL MATCH :( :( :( :( :( :( ??????

Please can some one tell me why SA's most wealthiest club (Norths) who is going to donate all these footballs to different SA clubs as stated in the paper today going to charge $2.00, is this not a little greedy or just a grab to cover the cost of the footballs????????

If there was a sign saying all proceeds would go to the Salvo's ,Red Cross etc fair enough, and this may apply to your own club as well

footy clubs need $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
My club Norwood is low in cash these days.
Its a sporting club not a private enterprise or individual who donate to charitys.
$2 is fine by me

You pay $4 to the Adelaide City council when you park at Adelaide Oval for the cricket
Costs $9 + to go to Saturday races and about $4 for a car park
Costs $5 to go to Globe Derby
Costs $ 6 thursday nights at Angle Park dogs
Cost me about $4 to park in Flinders street this week to have lunch.
Costs $$$ to park at the Port Markets sundays
AND MORE..........
Why not get them to donate as well.

I am a very very good donator to many many charities, thats my choice
Sporting clubs or bodies should not be expected to donate to charity, they need
to entertain and survive so I can get the pleasure I get out of them.

At Norwood we have about 1,000 plus people who take out memberships,
If Norwood donated to charity they are donating some of that membership money.
We take out memberships to donate to our clubs.
Cant have clubs crying poverty and then donate to charities as well.

$2 seems a fairly trivial amount to worry about. People have the freedom of choice to pay it or not go, I guess.

Did you have to pay $2.00at the Styrt V Eagles game?????

I just find it funny that our wealthiest club North charges, and also Norths with their fine recruiting and the hottest of Premiership favourites on one hand say how generous they are by donating footy's but in the same breath put their hand out at any chance.

At the end of the season when they have the premiership cup firmly in their grasp are they gunna charge $2.00 to view it??????

As a west adelaide supporter but more importantly a lover of SANFL football it is important to me that greed does not take over as seen in the AFL.

As a west supporter i hope we get off bottom and pass someone the wooden spoon, we have no pressure this year unlike those super strong roosters who are the premiership favourites in my book and most other supporters. We at westies are equal favourites for the spoon with norwood, sturts & the bays. After 2 seasons and five wins nothing can upset or phase us now, we have hit rock bottom. Just beware when the roosters play one of us cellar dwellers and you dont get beat and embarrass yourselves

norwood oval north v port $2.00
elizabeth oval central dist. v glenelg no charge
prospect (tomorrow) north v glenelg $2.00

i think they all should be free, but why doesn't a football park membership get you in for free ?(that was knocked back at norwood) yet the same membership will get you into the reserves etc finals :? :? :? just some clubs trying to earn an extra $$

$2 is a token effort FFS. Do you expect bands/singers/actors to perform for free just because they are wealthy? I think actors asking $20 million+ to do a film is greed.
Do you go to work for free?

something you have down to a fine art.

Maybe get some runs on the board first, eh? then you can shoot your mouth off some more.
