Advertiser Liftout

Good coverage to the SANFL today with a liftout and references to it on the front and back cover.
Also good to see that some of the SANFL clubs supported it by putting an advert in, had to giggle when I saw the Advertiser had put a big West End advert on the Norwood page to take up their space.
On a downside though, in the normal sports section Doug Robertson has done a whole article on the fact that Mike Sheehan's daughter's going to choose one of the nine clubs to support now that she's in Adelaide. Surely there's more interesting things happening in the SANFL?
Also, more I see of the Eagles new home guernsey I love it, it looks fantastic.
More of the new away guernsey I see I hate it though, its amazing the difference having some colours in different places with a slightly different design can make.

Mate, there's a 7 page topic on this forum already about it with a pic:

So is it worth spending the dollar?

(edit) I just hiked to the cafeteria and bought one. Looks like a better read than the offerings in previous years. Good work 'tiser.

The home guernsey is the best they have had since 1993 flag.

The home one is very fair to both clubs too.

Away one too much pecker.

Old home one too much eagle.

Ok No more changes to the guernsey other than sponsorship logos. The new ones look great and more like a footy jumper.

My only preference would be green for shorts and socks for home and away kits, but its a want not a need.

These guernseys for the next 10 years

Real footy starts this Thursday , if you watched the crap dished up last weekend by the VFL like i did and turned off after 1 quarter and you want footy how its supposed to be, get your arses through the gates at the Parade ,Encounter,Richmondor elizabeth this weekend.

Not a bad offering I suppose.

Great to see Warren Partland has covered himself in journalistic glory again.

Obviously being a Sturt supporter I read our preview line for line, and wonder of wonders, it appears Wazza's research (or lack thereof) has let him down.

Two points;

- Warren, is there no place in our best side for our vice-captain Andrew Whiteman?
- If you are going to include fringe/rookie listed AFL players in some sides (Krakouer PAMFC, Westhoff CDFC) why not do it for all the sides you previewed? (Bentley, SFC)

Perhaps The Advertiser should stick with Doug and Zac and leave the AFL crap to Warren, they were made for each other IMHO

I like how the article about North talks about Schubert and Haseldine as being key defenders yet they're not even selected in the First 21 side they put together.
Having said that, Shane Schubert is easily in our best 21 where Haseldine isn't.

They have Nitschke as a forward.

Credibility: None.
