What a significant stat that is in the history of SANFL. Ports only losing record against any opposition at any venue in their history (excluding places they may have played once or twice ). Not only are Norwood in front head to head against Port at the Parade they win 56% of the time there agaist them.

There's no doubt that Port are head and shoulders above any other club. This stat however is the reason why magpie supporters respect the Port Norwood rivalry.

History tells us Port have a battle on their hands tonight.

I'm pretty sure no other club has a better than 40 percent winning ratio at home against that magpie. Someone might be able to check that for me.

I would suggest, and spelly could probably back this up, that Sturt would have a better than 40% winning ratio against Port at Unley. This of course is helped by the fact when we were bottom in the 1990's (and took many a savage belting from Port), we didn't play at Unley.

Take it away spell-check.

Much appreciated mate.

Our 44.3% stacks up pretty favourably with most of the other sides but it could certainly do with an improvement, starting with when we next meet them at the home of football on June 16th.

Ah the joys of not checking the stats before you make a statement  ..... are we the luckiest sport site in Australia to have Spell-Check on hand to come up with such accurate stats on demand? He always comes through ....

It was about him misreading an e-mail saying that ABC refused to cover the Round 1 match. It was actually that they weren't going to go to Encounter Bay.

I wouldn't have expected any other than Norwood to be over 50% but I would have expected a couple to have better than 40%.
I think North have travelled to the Parade better than we've fared at home against Norwood too.
We're the current day Road Warriors!

I'd be more surprised if one of them had. They would run out of fingers and toes well before they get to 38

no thats about right, norwood have good % of beating port at home, they also have a good % of when they beat us, they usually belt us off the park. 97 anzac day, 97 gf, 2005 at the parade, and the are others but those 3 stick out the most. however i believe my tag line says it all :D
