Ok guys....Sturt coming off a confidence win and the bays to open their account for 07.

Sturt know what they have to work on and have the advantage of having a game under their belts...

The bays are fresh and raring to go after the bye and will be keen to open up with a win....

who will it be fellas???

Id love to hear the bays fans take on this week? why will they win and how will they do it?? how do they rate the blues??

also who is missing from the bays line up this week that you know of for sure???

go you blues!!!! should be an absolute belter of a game

Well I think Willitts is an out.....

Seriously this will be a tough game I don't think any Glenelg supporters is taking Sturt lightly as we got bitten on the ar5e last year when we did that.

Depends on which Glenelg rocks up, if the Glenelg that was present for three quarters against Centrals and the entire game agaisnt North we should win. However if our South performance rocks up, Sturt will get the chocolates.

Sturt will be clear favourite, coming off a morale boosting win, while the Bays have not yet warmed up.

YES

as mentioned above STURT will be confident after a great effort on saturday to get the money over westies at broadspectrum, now they are back at UNLEY for the first time and im sure they are keen to give there supporters a win!!!!

Glenelg well who the **** really knows, if we can play the way we did against North a few weeks ago we will be very hard to beat, but we do need to play 4 quarters.

sturt should be clear favs with the bookies as glenelgs last trial against south isnt much to go on as south smashed us and then got smashed themselves!!!

I'm quietly confident that we will get the points. After "that loss" last year cost the Bays finals action, Mickan wil have them ready to go. They will not make the same mistake.

Should be a good game from what i heard of Sturt last week

Glenelg had their revenge for the 'upset' loss at the Bay last year, a 90 something point smashing of Sturt at Unley late in the year (2006).

If any side has some extra incentive/motivation to win, surely it will be the Blues?

I urge both sets of supporters to get to Unley and enjoy what should be a good game of footy. The long range forecast is for mild, sunny conditions so if we can get 3,000 + there it will make for a great day.

With Ryan Willitts gone to West, who will kick Glenelg's goals?

not that i think we will, but for sturt to win, chambers needs to kick 5 or more, feast and deluca need to dominate the ruck and we cant have a lapse like we did in the 3rd qtr vs westies....just like any other game, we have to run all day and limit our mistakes with disposal...listening to the radio last wee, it was like a comedy of errors....we cant afford that against the bays.

also....glenelg may have a few more play makers than we do and our kids my come back to earth with a thud. As i said, ive tipped sturt but i think the bays may just have too much for us to handle, esp for our inexperience defence.

Winning form is good form.

Sturt are coming off a first up win, Glenelg a bye and a shellacking from South (albeit a trial)

The Double Blues can win this one and I have every confidence they will.

Jimbob, the way you are talking my friend one could be mistaken for thinking we are fronting one of the premiership faves at Unley on Sunday......

If we had have been a little more polished in front of goal v West we would have won by five or six goals.

Let's be confident mate.

yeah true....but i had the impression that the bays werent far off last year and i seem to recall they added one or two peices to the puzzle this year....i remember the old man telling me over the phone exactly what you said, that we should have won by more but as i heard the call, i just heard 'smithfield crash clanger' or watever all day....im confident mate dont worry but still like to keep it on the down low ;)

go the blues all the way!!!!!

LOL, the dreaded Smithfield Crash Clanger!! The bays have also lost a fairly important piece of the puzzle..Bryce Gibbs. Can that kid play!

That is an important piece - do Bays supporters believe they've picked up someone of his equivalent?

And just WHO is going to replace Willitts in defence for the Bays? ;)

we will KICK enough goals at unley to be winning, we do have avenues to goal.

WILLO - well who will replace him, I think a young bloke from the 17's could do the same thing willo did for us in defence.

recruits - we have got some hard at it midfielders, so we now have enough depth in this area to cover both Gibbs and Mouse who is out injured.

Yes but the lessons learned from that loss should still carry on IMO.

Agree that it should be a great game, hopefully a big crowd is on hand.

it was unfortunate that STURT beat us at home by a point last year, but i hope we LEARNT the LESSON in which was dished out to us that day!
i dont think that was the game that cost us september action but it certainly contributed.

IF STURT ARE TO WIN CHAMBERS WOULD HAVE TO GET AT LEAST 8 AGAIN AS LAST WEEK HE WAS THE ONLY FORCEFUL FORWARD IN THE TEAM, THE PACE OF LAST WEEKS GAME WAS SLOWER THAN ALL OF GLENELGS TRIALS & A LOT LOT SLOWER THAN THE TWO NIGHT GAMES OVER EASTER, & YES SOME OF STURTS KIDS SHOWED PROMISE BUT AS WE ALL KNOW WITH KIDS IT IS ONE WEEK UP THE NEXT ONE DOWN I WOULD EXPECT GLENELG EVEN WITHOUT MOUSE TO WIN BY AT LEAST 7 GOALS
