No Friday Night Game

Honestly, WTF?
Hottest part of the season and for the 2nd week running there's no Friday night game, imagine the sort of crowd they'd get at Norwood Oval this Friday night in perfect weather?
Instead we get one game programmed against a Power v Crows game and 3 games programmed on a bloody Sunday.
Great work SANFL, NOT, friggin morons.

Have to agree. Why have a game scheduled to go up against the Showdown and not have a Friday night game :?

On a similar topic i pissed myself laughing when a caller rang in to Dumb and Dumber tonight suggesting that people might be not going to the Showdown because the SANFL was on. The suggestion was that Port fans might prefer to go to see the Magpies. Neither the caller or the hosts could say who was playing who or when in the SANFL though.

The ABC need a game Sat arvo. With Adelaide Oval unavailable - only Elizabeth and Norwood are available and those teams can't have home games every week. I wouldn't want to see neutral games played at Norwood and definitely not Elizabeth.

ABC seem to get by in mid Sept to October with no Saturday game.
Why play a neutral game at Norwood?
Why not have them play more home games under lights early?

Just to add some fat to the fire mate, I just received my SANFL Members' E-Newsletter and it has all of the games scheduled to start at 2.20pm.

Useless.

FFS, no wonder half the Crows and Power supporters don't even know the SANFL's on if the SANFL itself can't even tell them when the games start. :?

The whole lack of respect/care about our competition is beyond a joke now.

Maybe I have missed something here....?

The future is possibly with nightgames...?

Every club should have a TV viable lighting system.

Do we have to play on week ends...?

Is it feasable to play SANFL on Week Nights...?

Would you go...?

It doesn't worry me...?

I have often wondered this myself. There's probably a clause in the contract somewhere which stops this from happening.

if there is a clause they should change it, i'd bet they'd get a lot more at the game played on either friday or saturday night than what they will get on saturday but that is common sense isn't it ?

It's "your Sydney ABC" we are talking about, too.

Well, last Friday night's game would be a tough act to follow. What a cracker.
