Another Night at Prospect Oval

Image

In what is emerging as dangerous and malicious trend, Prospect Oval was the target of two separate vandalism attacks over the weekend. On Friday night at approximately 11pm, vandals crashed a Drinks Caravan into the Oval fence, not satisfied with that the van was then set alight causing extensive damage. Both police and the Fire Brigade were required to attend. The Club extends it's appreciation to Prospect Council personnel for their assistance in removing the van and repairing the damaged fence.

More was to come however when following the game on Sunday, thieves ransacked the canteen facilities at the oval stealing the remaining unsold product from the day. As has become the norm at the Oval, the trademark graffiti and broken glass was everywhere to be seen.

Both Council and the Club are committed to providing first class facilities for patrons visiting Prospect Oval.
In recent time Council has actioned several improvements:

Oval upgrade ensuring a first class facility
Landscaping
Paving several areas
Improved toilet facilities
Prospect Oval has the potential to become a first class sporting facility which is also available for use by the local community. The risk to that goal is the mindless, malicious vandalism which is currently evident - particularly after dark.

Hmmm, there is a person on here known to frequent Prospect Oval quite often who always talks about burning things down.

Easy way to fix it, get rid of West End Draught and people with taste buds and class won't feel the need to burn the West End Caravans. :)

Wasn't the Central's players race vandalised with fire a year or two ago?
Obviously ran out of things worth burning up there so have moved further south.

I agree with Dutchy, bloody Northern suburbs, let's put up a wall now!

So was my post mate (well not the part about the players race, that was a genuine question as my memory is hazy).

Well done WoodWT -

A) You didn't read the whole thread
B) You revealed your petty prejudices to the posters here.
C) You now look like a tool.

Bottom drawer acts.

I rate living in Prospect but it is only spitting distance to some pretty ordinary areas.

Hmmmm..... so if I was to set alight the caravan at Glenelg Oval, we'd get a refurbished bar?

In all seriousness, once these kids (an assumption on my part) are identified, the appropriate punishment is as follows:

1. Tie each offenders to a chair.
2. Stack the offenders' entire worldly posessions (playstations, iPods, Nikes etc) in a pile in front of them
3. Douse liberally with an accelerant.
4. Set the pile alight.

And prop their eyes open in the style of A Clockwork Orange to make sure they watch every last flicker of the fire.

MP Rory McEwan has brought this up about Government schools having live in caretakers, maybe the management of North Adelaide should look into having a live in caretaker who can contact police immediantly if people are trespassing?

Sad that a community club has to be the target of vandalism, yet we all know there is'nt room in the jails, so people that get caught doing this are given the standard smack on the wrist, a stern talking to and a bag of lollies for their efforts.
