SANFL Announces "SANFL Coach of the Year" Award

Quick work by the SANFL, it was only a couple of days ago that a thread about the best coach started!:lol:

SANFL ANNOUNCES “SANFL COACH OF THE YEAR” AWARD
The SANFL is delighted to announce the introduction of a new SANFL “Coach of the Year” award to select the outstanding League Coach for the season.
This award, to be presented at the annual SANFL Coaches Association Dinner, will recognise and make a tangible acknowledgment of the League’s appreciation for the contribution and influence the 9 SANFL League Coaches bring to our game.
On four occasions throughout the Minor Round, the League Coaches will cast votes on a 3-2-1 basis to judge the performances of their peers throughout proceeding rounds. The cumulative total will identify the eventual winner who will receive a Plasma TV, courtesy of The Good Guys.
When voting for their peers, the League Coaches will consider the following criteria:
• Respect for the Code of Behaviour
• Respect for Umpires
• Active promotion of their League Team & Club and Coach education
• Respect for Officials and Volunteers at all levels
• Innovation & initiatives in coaching
• Development of available player talent
• Use of resources
• Ensuring a positive presentation of the game, both on-field and off-field
• Relationship of prior seasons performance to this season (i.e. development), where applicable
• Appropriate presentation at all functions for their Club and the SANFL Executive Commissioner Mr Leigh Whicker and SANFL Coaching Manager Robert Oatey will oversee the award and voting criteria.
