Yep, Sturt won 3 last year and West won 2, the bottom two teams will have a much better record in 2007 IMHO.

I don't know - the Bays could give West 2006 a run for their money yet?

Still too early to say if we are the "real deal". Vastly improved would be a more adequate description.
Listening in on the radio nowadays I definitely have more confidence in our ability to fight it out, it sounds as though we continue to do the things that good sides need to, eg, going straight, fighting it out at the bottom of packs, chasing opponents down, applying pressure on the disposal to create turnovers further afield. I wish I could watch them live at some stage this year, I am really reliant on other's descriptions on the blogs and radio, so the best I can say is strewth they sound good! But not the real deal yet.
So far we have caught everybody on the hop. Westies in the first game could have beaten us, Glenelg were in with a chance late in the game and Port were leading us late in the game today. Sturt are playing a different brand of footy to last year, and I reckon we can create a plan for the other sides but West, Glenelg and Port were seeing us for the first time, and you can't truly prepare for what you don't know about. I think we'll continue to improve, but next time around these other sides will be readier than they were this time, and that'll be a different ball game.
But strewth, it feels flamin' good to be where we are at now!!! GO YOU BLUES!!!!
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

well, we are certainly raising expectations but i dont think saying we are the real deal is correct....we just seem to go about each game thinking why not? lets give it a go and see what happens.

I guess from here we really cant take our foot off the pedal and say we are still rebuilding if it all goes to shit...pressure is on to keep playing good footy and winning games.

i like the term theri used, vastly improved :)

We beat you this year already mate, what are you on about?

Whether or not we are the 'real deal' (who is after 3 games?) I think it's very safe to say we will be challenging for a finals berth where once that would have been unthinkable.

Are Sturt the real deal? Who knows all I'll say is that I'd rather be in their position than ours.

Hats off to them for their efforts so far, nothing flukey about three wins.

They've certainly exceeded my expectations for the first three rounds.

I dips me lid to the Sturt Football club.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Its amazing how many Sturt fans are on the bandwagon, posts about Sturt have jumped 10 fold on this site...all I can say is early season form can be very very misleading long term (i bloody hope so anyway!)....lets have a reality check...they have beaten 4th, 6th & 9th from last year, good effort but no world beaters and none by convincing margins...
