ANZAC DAY Eagles vs Central

ANZAC Day in the past couple of years has always been a little bit hollow IMO due to Central always having beat the Eagles in the GF before. However, now that both teams have tasted success (and defeat), I feel this game truly becomes important for what it is.
The rivalry now goes two ways and this game promises to be an absolute beauty. I'd expect 8,000 plus at Thebby Oval and an atmosphere that hasn't been seen in the western suburbs for a very long time.
Central will go in favourites despite losing the Grand Final last year and the last two meetings between these teams on ANZAC Day. I think last weeks game might have been a wake up call for the Eagles though and hopefully they can make it three in a row.

If no-one is doing anything Saturday, travel all the way to HHO to see Eagles 17s/19s play Central 17s/19s. No entry fee, food and bugdet on sale.

Looking forward to heading back to thebarton. My first time back since a Pearl Jam concert in the late 90s.
Symes is out for the dogs called up to the power.
With Currie Graham and Osullivan facing fitness tests to play this week. Sure the results of those tests will be crucial to the final line up of the team. Will be interesting to see who of these are deemed available. Im sure no risks will be taken with a 10 day break until the dogs next game .

Perhaps the 2 Superpower teams of the new millenium...!
Dogs have held the upper hand over recent years.
Eagles have learnt how to win.
If both teams are serious, this would be the SANFL encounter of the decade...?
Watch it live. Get it on video. Get it on CD...
THIS IS THE GAME TO WATCH, REGAURDLESS....!
Everyone turn up at thebby...!
I have to work.......
Live ammunition, Security.....

Has anyone seen anything about this game in the paper or anything? Nothing about it on Adelaide Now website. Pretty poor - no wonder the crowds don't turn up. Even on the SANFL website there is nothing on the front page to suggest there is a game on. Going even further you wouldn't know there was a game on tomorrow if you looked at the front page of the Eagles website. At least on the Central website they have an upcoming fixtures table on their front page.
Why do they have an ANZAC Day game if they don't promote it?
It may be trivial, but I thought the SANFL should have had this game as part of Round 3 instead of Round 4 so at least the game was up on the fixtures from last Friday's paper.

I wonder how many people will turn up to Adelaide Oval after the ANZAC march. Very poor advertising SANFL, where are the Kerley ADS?

Interesting that the biggest winning margins for both clubs were both GFs. Are these the only two teams to have this stat? I assume they would be.

I just hope there are a few working globes in the rickety old light towers.
With a 3pm start & overcast conditions forecast it could be dark at 5pm.
Does anyone know if the lights are in working condition?

Good point. They did use the lights for an internal trial a month or so ago so I guess they work. Reports from that game were they were about as good as Norwood Oval - so there could be dark patches.
