Eagles and Central have never met at Thebarton. That's the stats for the two clubs meetings at this ground.

Surely Eagles and Centrals have?
Woodville-West Torrens and Centrals wouldn't have though.

That's right. Eagles and Central have never met at Thebarton Oval.

You're kidding? Centrals and Torrens would have met many times there. Torrens were the Eagles just like Woodville-West Torrens now are.

I call West Torrens, Torrens and I call Woodville-West Torrens, Eagles.

I call West Torrens, Torrens and I call Woodville-West Torrens, Eagles.

Why?
That'd be like saying you call North Adelaide, Adelaide?

West Torrens symbol was the Eagles just like North's is the Rooster, like Central's is the Bulldog and Woodville West Torrens is the Eagles also.

Woodville-West Torrens certainly don't have more right to claim the Eagle than the club that started it?

If you were consistent you'd say that the Roosters and Central have never met at Prospect?

Wasn't it the current clubs wish to have 'Eagles' to be shown on scoreboards, match results and fixtures?

No idea but that's irrelevent (probably to do with the fact that Woodville-West Torrens is too long to fit), simple fact is the Eagles have played Central at Thebarton Oval many times in the past, to deny it would be to deny SANFL history, as I said it'd be like denying the Magpies ever played at Glenelg.
Anyway, back to the game, do you have the record of the West Torrens Eagles v Central District Bulldogs at Thebby?

You know, I actually see both points :)

But, the "records" are relating to this game, and this game is Eagles/Centrals ... and they have never met there!
The "eagles" referred to in the records/stats would be Woodville-West Torrens, even though the name of one of the clubs previously was the Eagles.

To say that the Eagles and Centrals have met at Thebarton before is taking the words out of context :)

That is really what the statement was from the club to begin with; McAlmanac can word it better than me as he has posted it on here before. Even though that may be contentious to people, as a stats guy I go by what is official.

Anyway, back to the game, do you have the record of the West Torrens Eagles v Centrals at Thebby?

C'mon Wedgie cut the man some slack, he is playing away on Mrs Diss home turf (I assuming) the man is kicking in to a five goal wind trying to win this one......

The old CFF (compulsory family function) - sometimes its a battle not worth fighting......

Pfft, that's rubbish, you need to train them properly early on. My family (extended or close) wouldn't even consider haivng a do if North were playing.
Mrs Wedgie was going out with me for less than a year when she learnt she had to change from the Bays to North or it wasn't going to work.
Of course people like me are worth changing for because Im such a catch.

You're all bloody bandwagonners!
