The SANFL is so Predictable

Seriously, Centrals v Eagles again this year.

I am so sick and tired of how predictable this competition is. :(

doubt the Eagles will make the GF this year, at this stage even finals are looking out of reach of them, just to much competition from other clubs this year.

What you are saying is "7 clubs haven't worked out how to catch up yet".

No doubt it will happen, if I were you I would be out at my club trying to make sure it was the first to catch up.

I'd have to disagree here. Centrals were still playing for a finals spot as late as round 21 last year (if they'd lost that game, then they may have missed the finals altogether), and had to play two of their best games just to get into the Grand Final.

The competition has evened up this year, just look at Sturt's performances so far this year (a side expected to finish bottom or very close to it).

I don't recall many people whining about the predictibility of the competition while Port were winning...

You love predictable finishes when it's bloody Norwood and Port in the finals every year. Suffer in your jocks, it's a new generation, and frankly i'm all for it.

Centrals had the exact same start last year:

Round 1 - Central 18.12 Sturt 9.10
Round 2 - Port 14.17 Central 8.9
Round 3 - Glenelg 22.16 Central 7.11

I'll bet you were still thinking they would be around the mark come finals time.

And the Eagles had won only 1 game of the first three last year as they have this year.

Predictable?

Sturt on top of the ladder after three rounds
Glenelg beating Port
The draw at Prospect
Norwood beats Sturt

How many winners have you selected this round??

Another week, another 1 in the tipping.

Centrals only undefeated team.
Everyone's had a win.

Predictable. I think not.

Predictable as in the end of the year. Same teams will be right up there yet again.

Sure there are upsets during the minor round, but come the latter stages of the season and the finals it’s all fairly predictable IMO.
