Drving up to the Wreckers at Elizabeth this morning, heading up Main North Rd, passed a trailer with an illumiated digital sign advertising Centrals upcomming game in a weeks time against Glenelg to all the passing traffic.

It is a good thing to see an SANFL club getting out there and promoting the SANFL, I wish more clubs looked into things like this!

we have had atleast 1 up advertising all home games to far, and now a billboard at parafield airport along with a 2nd screen somewhere up Main North Road.
there was also a screen on south road somewhere advertising the ANZAC day game, dont know if that was from a club or the League though.

The Eagles had 2 electric signs up advertising the Anzac Day Game. One on South road outside Thebby Oval, the other on the Port Road median, angled to be in full view of both South Road and Port Road.

Its a better way of advertising than TV commercial calling Glenelg Oval, Challenge Recruitment Oval. Friends asking me wher eis that being played. Same goes for Hickingbotom Oval, Coopers Stadium, Broadspectium Oval, Hammra Homes, etc }at least call them by traditional names as well so people who haven't kept upto date with SANFL know WTF is going on.

Nice in theory, but except for Hickinbotham, the rest are commercial agreements and I'm sure the likes of Coopers, Broadspectrum, Challenge Recruitment and Hamra Homes wouldn't be too pleased having naming rights if the advertising doesn't reflect this.

It's great seeing clubs like Centrals and the Eagles use electronic signs at major thoroughfares promoting the game - I must have seen the anzac one on Port Rd at least half a dozen times just in passing.

I've also noticed Coopers Stadium now has an electronic sign out the front identical to the one at AAMI (only reflecting Norwood instead of the Crows/Power). Is this type of sign going to be put up at every SANFL ground?
