Premiership table quirk: 7 sides on 1 win after round 4?

Postby therisingblues » Mon Apr 30, 2007 11:57 am

Has there ever been a situation like now, where after 4 rounds of football, all sides except two have only one win? I know this has all been made possible by the draw between South and North, but just wondering if this is the first time we have had such a quirky table. :?:
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

I make it 6 sides - the wharfies have two wins.

Notice how even in the SANFL, a team connected with a suburb called Richmond is coming 9th?

6 sides with 1 win, 4 sides on 2 points. To be equal bottom you will need the same points and same percentage as West, so only 1 side bottom ;)

Well I suppose a draw is worth a point so there are 4 sides with equal premiership points separated only by perecntage.

Happy now?

Not really  :) Now if you had said Roosters on top and all the rest with 2 points, that would make me happy :)

One interesting aspect is that we are already at a position where only 3 of 9 sides have a percentage of more than 50.00%. If Central had scored one more point their points for would be doubling their points against.

I should perhaps add that that is after playing the other three top teams of last season. Not too bad start!

Perhaps he meant that Centrals are now connected to Port by the new expressway?
