Sturts highest score was a losing score? That's got to be a 'one and only' record in the SANFL?

From memory Eagles kicked alot of points that day and the final margin was pretty close. Anyone got a 1994 budget handy?

Final Score in that game was Eagles 17.23-125 - Sturt 19.9-123. Crowd was 5,054.
I knew that old annual report would come in handy one day.
Trust the process.

Columbo, can you tell us who the maggot was that didn't pay a legitimate mark to Damien Kitshcke in the dying seconds and ultimately cost us an upset victory?

I am not bitter by the way

Eagles will be desperate to avoid ending up with 83 points I'd say.

33% of the times we've lost we've scored 83.

edit - actually 4/9 times we've scored 83 and lost.

Sorry MST can't help with that one, but if someone had a budget from that day we would at least have a 50% chance of working it out :?

MST were you there in 1988 v norf at AO when Damien Kitchkie took some of the best hangers you would ever see in 1 game. There was atleast 4 huge marks the 6'5 ruck /forward took and he was impossible to stop that day. Ahhh memories....
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Nice attitude Jimmy. But I am not so optimistic, the "rush" has died down, Eagles on paper should smother us even with those outs. I put a lot of emphasis on the Whiteman factor also, while he's out of the side I don't think we'll win too many. The statistics provided by Wedgie are pretty condemning too. One win at Woodville against the Eagles in all these years? I can't see us adding to that with our current line up. I hope we don't disgrace ourselves, I just would like us to fight it out. A loss of less than 50 points would be an improvement on last year at least.
Sorry for the depressing prediction, I'll still be hoping for a victory, I jsut can't see it happening.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

theri, i hear ya mate, but im going to be more positive this week and say that i reckon we are due to have a solid game, whether or not means we get up, but i think we will put in a much better showing than last week. This year we have been either super switched on or just terrible. So I dont want to see the terrible side of the SFC show up this week, i want to see 'first 3 weeks SFC' show up 8) [-o<

Very interesting game this one.
If Sturt's the real deal, they'd want to put up a good contest against an Eagles ready to break out.

B. Oath! This is the time of year they usually get their act together, and along comes the Double Blues ready for.... I can't type it.....but we tend to be a "good work-out " for champion sides to really get their teams fine tuned. Like a nice stretch of country road for a new Ferrari.
