The experts currently have him 3rd favourite for the Magarey behind Allen and and Callinan.

He will get drafted,no doubt. The AFL clubs are now aware that athletic ability is no substitute for football smarts.

SUMMERTON is without doubt the best young player in the competition
and at this stage will be playing for Richmond or Melbourne next year
He has wonderful skills, precision like foot disposal, reads the play astutely
and just has AFL written all over him
Would be winning Ports Best and fairest at this stage

He has quite a few faults so Id be shocked if he got drafted in the National draft. Maybe rookie list.

He has an uncanny knack of finding the football and has a great footy brain. But, he has a funny ball drop, is quite slow and at 175cm and 74kg, is probably too small to play AFL football. There arent a lot of players that height going around in teh AFL but the ones that do are pretty good. Crawford for example. If he doesnt get drafted I hope he stays with the Magpies.

The way he has come on this year has been sensational. A revelation for sure. He probably wouldnt have played a game last year but mid year he had this incredible burst of 2-3 games where he just dominated and forced his way into the league side. Did ok but he looked no more than a bog standard small midfielder who'd probably play a dozen league games but mainly be a reserves player. This year hes just set the league on fire with his ball winning ability. Full credit to him, hes come a long way since the start of last year. Definatley the most in form youngster in the league and would probably have anywhere from 5-8 Magarey votes at this point.

i must agree with ya macca
still i hope he makes it into the big league
also he has always had the skill of being a ball magnet, every since i played with him in under 9's
if he doesnt im almost certain that he would ahng around the club, all his mates are still there and he is a local boy.
port have a very bright future if they can keep him and some of his mates and they develop into good footballers because atm they have a lot of potential.

Every chance of both, he is a fantastic talent and will only get better.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Played some under-age state footy with Summo in Under 12s and 16s , is a top bloke and footballer and deserves all the accolades he receives. I can only hope he gets drafted and not shafted like Tom Hurley did last November...

Yeah, poor Tom, and now he's got a pretty serious injury to contend with. a lot of people here keep a close eye on Tom - he lived here when his dad was a GP here.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.
