If he does retire then yes, they'll be proven extremely right.
Im not sure North will be losers out of it as Ive been very impressed with the way our defensive set up is coming along despite having so many players missing in defence. To almost keep Sturt goal less for the first half last week having 2 or 3 players who have only played a game or 2 was a fantastic effort and Im starting to think Ben's work on the defence could make North a completely different proposition to last year.

I agree 100% with that Wedgie. I'll still be extremely disappointed if he isn't a part of the defence he is creating though. Remember he intended playing for 2 seasons when he signed with North.

Dont get me wrong guys, I for one thought he had a couple of years left in him. particularly at this level. infact wished him well in all games (apart from when you played Westies)

However very sad to see him go without the fanfare so well deserved. Will allways be remembered as one of the Crows greatest.

Hope you're right dash.
It'd be weird if his only 2 games for the year so far were against the Dogs.

Hope you're right mate!
A little birdy even told me that they'd spoken to Jarman as recently as yesterday and he was thinking that Ben might be playing the next game against the Dogs.
My fingers are crossed.

Must be true then  He actually said that Hart was set to announce he has retired from all forms of football not that he actually has.

If it is true the Advertiser can run this report:

North Adelaide loses Hart.

Like the Advertiser would even mention North. Headline would be more along the lines of:

"Former Crows Star Retires"

This decision if true was Hart's alone so I am told and the club was blindsided as they expected him to be back for the Centrals game. If he is going to retire then get on with it and announce it. So far his contribution on field has been almost nil. Off field he appears to have had some defensive influence.

If he does go then our recruiting in terms of KPP or big men this year is exactly zero and questions need to be asked??? I would love to say more but I'm going to hold my comments other than to say "what a waste"!

Coupled with our injuries and an undersized defence made up of essentially kids and one tall fwd presently (I'm not counting Gill as he hasn't made it back to league level yet and may not play the whole season at North for whatever reason) ain't gonna beat the Centrals, Eagles and Ports of the comp and will eventually struggle against everyone else. The Norwood game showed that.
