It will be out of (not in order) South, West, Bays, Sturt and the Legs.

Later this wek I will give you more of my thoughts, but after round 7 I see the bottom 5 being

South... to just make the 5
Norwood
West
Sturt
Bays

Stand by the same bottom 4 as I predicted before the season:

Norwood
West
Sturt
Glenelg

Wooden spoon ... dunno, one of those obviously

Not Sturt.

One bad quarter per game is really hurting us at the moment, plus when we do have momentum we are not making the opposition pay.

Our second quarter on Saturday, in terms of the control we had, clearances and inside fifty, was good and in reality we should have been at least level with WWT at half time.

Our third quarter was very poor and obviously that cost us. I still maintain if we had of been able to concentrate and go in to three quarter time only a few goals down we would have been a big shout to get the two points.

West at Unley is a HUGE match and the winner there can still believe a spot in the elimination final is a possibility. With Thomson and possibly Whiteman and Chappy to come into our side I am confident we can chalk up our fourth victory and maintain our spot in the five.

Considering we will have Barber, Walsh and maybe Tippet out, with the potential call up of Gray and Willo tp the paps. I think you will register your 4th.

Reminds me of Norwood in 2004 ;)

Seriously though, this years wooden spooner will be pretty unlucky. Wouldnt be surprised if this years bottom team win 5 or more games.
Could be in for a record here. Spelly, most number of wins for a wooden spoon?

On that basis of winning 5 or more and still getting the spoon the bays would need to get moving being 1 from 6. If they maintain the ratio it would mean 2 wins after 12 games and then 3 wins from 18 games and then winning thier last 2 (or 5 of their last 8 games). It is quite possible on present form that they may be a deserving spooner but they are alot better than that or the current results suggest.

The spoon, top 5 and indeed the top 3 are all very open still EXCEPT for Centrals who you can bet on being in the top 2 at this point if not already minor premier.

Having said that and I agree we aren't as bad as our disHonorable years when by far and away we were the worst team going around, we are where we deserve to be ATM. Bad kicking and not playing the full four quarters is costing us big time.

ATM, seven rounds in, IMO two clubs haven't improved (or to be kind haven't improved as much as the others) from last year -South and Glenelg - the rest have all got better.

At teh end of teh day teh results don't lie.

Having said all that the season isn't over by any stretch of the imagination all clubs still have the ability to make the finals and any one of five clubs could win the spoon.

I feel you may be delighted with this season based on those thoughts as your team are certainly most likely at this stage to win some new timber kitchen utensils.

Mind you, I had the bays 4th at the start of the season.
