Its time once again for the old rivals of the sanfl to face each other. Port are 1 up in this years contest and looks like making it 2 after this weeks contest. However Norwood should put up a good contest and will be closer than many people think.

Based on watching these two teams against Centrals in the last two weeks, the legs will go very close to beating Port. They have been threatening to put in a solid effort and a game against Port may be the incentive they need.

Very much looking forward to the contest. Hopefully the legs can upset the magpies and keep the Gallagher/Williams cup alive.

I just hope no-one starts a fight in the crowd otherwise Port v Norwood games at Alberton during the day will no longer be scheduled...

Crikey, how will Dumb :? and Dumber :? :? on 5-Dumber-A manage to blame us if we are at Prospect and a brawl ensues at Alberton!
I'm sure they'll find a way... Common Denomiator - pffft... :P :P :P

They'll be fighting over who hates the doggies the most so it will be our fault.

C'mon boys, it's not all about us.

Really? Since When?

But seriously, Port should win well notwithstanding the unpredictability of these clashes.

Should be a good game and I'm looking forward to it.
Nwd will be missing Austin Wonamaerri in this game as he has been selected to play in the curtainraiser to a "Dreamtime Team' match at the MCG this weekend.
Will be interesting to see what sized crowd turns up. Over 7,000 at the Parade in Round 1 with Treadrea playing in what was a Friday night game. Last week, 6,700 or so at Elizabeth on a Saturday night. This is a Saturday afternoon up against a Crows telecast vs Carlton. Obviously most Magpies/Power fans wont be fazed by this fact and hopefully Norwood/Crows fans make the decision to see the old rivals play ahead of a game between the Crows and Carlton (?). I would think that everyone would be hoping for 5-6000 as a starting point.
Summerton killed us in Round 1 along with Meiklejohn. (not forgetting Tredrea getting 7 goals). I expect Tim Nicholas to play in ruck this time against Mieckeljohn but with Borlace out injured and a reshuffle of the centre line/on ball players required as a result, the matchup for Summerton will be something to think about in addition to Clayton et al.
Will be interesting to see if Matt Thomas holds his spot in the Power this week as well.....
