Really looking forward to this match. Having seen Norwood play against North a month or so ago, they played an exciting attacking brand of footy and they are in good form. Hopefully plenty of legs supporters make the trip across town to Thebby Oval and we get a good crowd.

Crows selections will be interesting and might make an impact. Massie, Jericho and McGregor must be close to playing AFL which would be a loss to both teams.

The Eagles will be decked out in the old Torrens 70's uniform. Hopefully Norwood wear their traditional top for this game.

Interesting to note in those last 5 games that there aren't really any thumpings as such... Granted a team like the Eagles will have been in position to take the foot of the pedal in recent times, but they've embaressed a lot of teams also in that time.

Legs usually give the Eags a pretty good run for their money, but the cream eventually rises to the top and we get found out ... Will it be more of the same or is the 2007 Redleg model a different one?

Personally, I'm looking forward to heading back to Thebby for what must be about the first time in 20 years ... Aerie and co., whats parking like? Do they open the oval next to the ground or do you have to head to the Brickworks?

And now for the kiss of death...

I've seen both of these teams this year & I'm picking Norwood in this one...

Here's my logic -

With the excpetion of South (and you can never rely on them) every team that has played and beaten Glenelg this year has won their following fixture...

N.B. If it keeps happening that means the Eagles are about to lose 2 in a row...

(and West will beat North eventually  )

CP - Yeah, they open up Kings Reserve which is next door to the oval so even if there was 10,000 people, you'd still get an easy park. I've also had no problem getting reasonably close parking on the street.

Agree with Norwood having given us a run for our money recently. Always seem to lapse for 1 quarter or even just 10 minutes and the Eagles pile on the goals. Expecting a better Norwood team this year than in the last couple of years though.

Cheers for that mate ... The missus will be happy to know I'm driving rather than cabbing and accidentally having a few at the footy followed by accidentally having few at the West Thebby :D (her) :( (me) and :snakeman: (just because It's the one emoticon I can't recall ever being used)

They charge something like $5 for parking htere, don't they? With the parking restrictions around the streets they make it as tough as they can to get a free park in those parts of the city.

According to the top of the page, 2002 finals series - would have to be one of the longest head to head streaks at the moment.

The dogs owned a few of them, but in the last couple of years have coughed a few streaks up. Can't fathom a longer standing one ATM.

My thoughts too graham, I reckon we owned streaks against everyone bar the eagles and port for a while there. Norwood always chalked up the odd win against us too, from memory.

Norwood got us a few times in 2002, and seemed to pick up the odd win after that. Longest streaks against magpies and eagles lately would be about 4 or 5 wins or so IIRC. Had long streaks over Glenelg and North broken in the last couple of years. South I reckon broke a streak in the 40 degree weather we were having a couple of years ago early in the season. Got one against West going back to 2003 ATM I think, ditto Sturt I think.

Will be very interesting to see If young Pavlich gets a game or if Ron will do the normal thing and keep naming him for a few weeks.
