True, the doggies have done a good job.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

getting closer to playing a full 4 qtr game, so i wouldn't be suprised if it was somthing similar to that.
i dont think the ladder positions really reflect how close these teams actually are.

That biggest losing score by sturt in round 16 1982 at Unley, I was there that day and I believe it's the biggest comeback in SANFL history by the dogs to win that match.

Wilbur Wilson kicked the most obvious point that day in the last qtr which was given a goal and ended up being an important decision.
Makes the story even better 25 years on I guess.

im afraid of something like this...we have been playing good footy the last few weeks and i would hate to see a loss by 10+ goals...altho, its the thing that is bound to happen to a team like us that has been playing the way it has.

just hope my blues give it their all and play 4 qtrs of determined footy, that i will be happy with and yes, if they get up, massive bender satdy night for me :)

Pretty amazing game that. The result made one 8 year old cry.
Anyone got the qtr by qtr scores? Spelly?

If we stay within 5 goals of them this week I will be mighty impressed...

Not quite right JMO - we certainly haven't coughed up any points for that long, but we can't claim to have taken them with us!

Central have only won the last 7 there, not the last 22.

I can't tip Sturt with any genuine confidence but what I will say is if the Central players go in with the same cocky attitude as grahaml and a couple of his mates then an upset is not beyond the Baby Blues.

Two qualities Sturt circa 2007 have are they are super honest and super fit. If the boys get off to a good start and are with the 'dogs at quarter time, expect the contest to go all the way to the final siren.

Whilst you are right about the players attitude MST, I reckon you have misinterpreted grahaml - he was being honest, not arrogant. If the dogs come to play, it will be a canter. I have been to watch a couple of Sturt games and most Dogs game and reckon you blokes are getting better but still a bit off the mark.

The dogs haven't had a bad attitude too often in the last 7 years (and I reckon only once for a whole game) so I don't think that will be a problem this weekend.
