this is ONLY A RUMOUR j.clayton v t.ginever

Postby bayman » Wed Jun 13, 2007 9:19 pm

i have heard 'on the grapevine' thats why i've said it is ONLY A RUMOUR that clayton & ginever had a heated arguement before the port v north match & this is the reason he pulled out of that game, & the speculation is that he won't be playing again.

now i do not really believe it (the not playing again) but we all know that arguements etc happens at all clubs, so i'm asking you 'port insiders' to let me/us know if there is any truth in these stories going around ??
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

There were similar rumours last year when the wheel fell off Port's form in the second half of the season, that Clayton and Ginever were at odds along with one or two other players (not Poulton tho from memory). Clayton was certainly an angry man on the field in the Norwood game a couple of weeks ago.

I don't like hearing this sort of talk when it is my sides next opponent as more often than not this type of controversy can galvanise a team.

That being said, where there's smoke there's fire and the Baby Blues would want to keep the Magpies on the canvas this week.

It is imperative Sturt are switched on from the first whistle as if they get off to a flyer then Port heads may sag a little.

This rumour seems to circulate each year. Always seems to coincide with Port losing. People on here are confirming the rumour. Does that mean that they have heard the rumour as well or that what is said in the rumour is actually true?

well as i said it was just a 'rumour' that i heard, but reading some of the replies you'd have to think 'where there's smoke there is fire'

so i ask this, if this is true & not manageable & can not be sorted out can both men be at the same club next year ?

Jeremy and Tim dont see eye to eye on things, that is true, but, as for it going as far as him refusing to play, I think that's rabble.

As for the Clive Waterhouse thing that some one brought up, Clive has a hamstring strain and is out for another 2 weeks.

Given the "stature" of both blokes I would have thought Tim and jeremy would be able to see eye to eye.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
