We played behind more often than not and thus 50 :50 seemed to go against us - in my opinion umps did not win it for the Roosters nor cost us the game - North were the better team on the day

What I seen was a game ruined by 3 blind white ferrets who were clearly umpiring in a biased fashion towards 1 team. This umpiring display would have to be the worst i've seen in a quite a while and believe me I go to 20 + games a season. At best they were trying to be home crowd pleasers. Please SANFL grow some balls and discipline these 3 idiots. They have to go it's as simple as that. I know this post may seem like I'm a sooking Eagles supporter after another loss but that's not it at all. I am the first to admit that the Eagles are below par at the current time but today they were'nt given a chance. They were simply umpired out of the game from the get go.What do we have to do to get umpires that are willing to umpire the game straight down the line. It seems to me the SANFL really want the Roosters to play finals footy and that was shown today with the umpiring display.

The umpiring in general this year has been pathetic. Obviously instruction from above to penalise on every available opportunity and the umpires aren't good enough to be consistent. I preferred previous years when generally play would be let go.

I think that's a little unfair Dutchy. I did preface my comments by stating I didn't want it to sound like I'm having a go because we lost. I think the umpires need to be made accountable. It happens to reguarly.

I still haven't moved on from the 3 losses we had last year against the Eagles where clearly the umpires wanted the Eagles to win so badly that we North got umpired out of the game in what were 3 of the worst umpiring perfomances in the history of the modern game. Those two massive losses at Thebarton and Woodville where the umpires paid frees to the Eagles, missed those to North - even linked onto some of the circle work, laid some tackles and sheperds and if I recall actually kicked a couple of goals each as well for the Eagles, one goal where the umpire soared above the pack, took the grab played on and ran 100 metres without a bounce and threw the ball past the big white sticks and his mate with the white coat and hat gave it the two fingers. Yep those bloody umpires. If they were not so biaised then North would have easily won those two games. As for the Prelim final, it was the most one eyed display I have ever seen against North and clearly that cost us a GF spot.
Those losses had nothing to do with being belted by a better side on the day twice and once in what turned out to be a closer one by a more hardened finals performer.
P.S. I hope you whinging Eagles sooks can see the "sarcastic" content in my post but to do so take off your rose coloured coke bottle glasses first.

about 3-4 years ago I decided not to go on about umpires anymore and Im better for it, believe me...at the footy I still have a yell and complain but 5 seconds later its gone and move to the next contest...make peace with yourself and do the same, youll enjoy the footy more
