I bloody hope so but sense we will be in for a let down at the hands of the Pams this week. I just can't see them losing another home game particularly with their season possibly on the line. However if Glenelg gets over Port, with their current form the 5 would be definately acheivable.

Flogging West does not make Glenelg a top 5 team. They need to back it up with a few more wins over the Big 4 ( Central, Eagles, North, Port) before I would be totally convinced. South & Norwood could upset the plans too.

One win does not a season make. I meant "consistantly" beat them, not every now & then.

i think with the 3rd best %age at the moment that could be very very handy at the end of the season but i do agree we have to keep winning first

I saw that today Bayman....heres one for Spelly...has the 2nd bottom team ever had the 3rd best percentage????
I reckon we can make it IF we play the footy of the past 2 weeks, a lot of 2006 about those games...especially with a midfield that probably ranks in the Top 3 in the comp....Sellar could be the wildcard up forward that we need

Can we make the five - yes
ATM do I think we will - No, that pathetic loss to West in Rd 3 and to a lesser extent the losses to South and Norwood have put us right behind the eight ball with respect to making the finals.
Our next six weeks are tough, Port (A), Sturt (AO), Centrals (H), Eagles (A) Norwood (H) and South (H) we need to win at least four of those to be any chance. None of those are gimmee games for us.
For mine I want us to keep playing four quarters of hard, honest, committed and disciplined footy - the results will take care of themselves if we do that.

We'd better keep a lid on it though or this post will haunt us

You only need to win this week and if other results go as expected you'll be 5th by the end of this weekend.

We are starting to play our best footy at the right time of year, where I feel a few clubs have played their best and are on a downhill slide....remember our biggest losing margin was 33 points...so have been around the mark, and now its starting to click IMO
Im starting to doubt Norwoods credentials, they have been good but the quality of opposition in their wins now looks questionable

I can't tell you that, but I can tell you it's the 2nd best percentage by an 8th placed team in a 9 team comp (North in Round 10 1992 had 52.40%. In a 10 team comp, Woodville had 52.15% in 9th place after Round 7 1979. That's the only better % for the second bottom side.
