Hopefully the Eagles can play better then we did on Sunday against North.
Saturday night game at Elizabeth should get between 5-6000 people to it.

you'd hope so, but with the eags playing poorly and their fans reluctant to travel, esp at night to Hamra, id think you'll be lucky to get 4000 there.
dogs SHOULD thrash them, but may be closer than most think.

Going ahead as far as i am aware.
Eagles have some injuries whilst dogs look to go in with an unchanged line up for the fourth week in a row.

The game will go ahead - this game is the reason the club has shifted all trainings and underage games in recent weeks.
It would cost the club $60,000 if it were played elsewhere. Sounds like a good incentive to me (apparently Kris Grant has spent the last fortnight at the top of the grandstand with a sniper rifle ensuring all keep off the oval).

The Eagles will definitely be without Passador and I'm guessing Grocke probably will be an out as well from last weeks team. With the loss also of Salter and McKenzie from the week before, that is just about our whole key position line out for this game.
Fuller is going to have to be creative again this week. He showed something last week with Schwarze and Lindsay spending more time up forward.
I would be tempted to try a smaller forward line and include more runners in the team given it's a night game and it's a big oval. We will only match it with Central if we run our butts off and work hard all night. Will need plenty of rotations through the midfield.
I'd go like this:
F: Inkster Schwarze Petrenko
HF: Batsanis Stewart Vince
C: Jarrad Cicolella Fairclough
HB: Powell Pedler Treeby
B: Redden Hier P Fiacchi
R: Lindsay Symmons Cooper
I: Lomas Rugolo Dabrowski
Ins: Inkster, Fairclough, Petrenko
Outs: Passador (inj), Grocke (inj), Pavlich
I'd be rotating all of the following through the midfield at various stages - Cica, Symmons, Cooper, Inkster, Petrenko, Vince, Powell, Treeby, Fiacchi, Lomas and Rugolo. If Rugolo is not fit enough to run through the midfield bring Pavlich in.
A forward line of Stewart, Schwarze, Inkster and Vince to contest in the air and Petrenko and Batsanis to make sure they are at the crumbs of EVERY contest. Stewart will need to run Schell off his feet and play a similar role to when Burton use to play CHF for us back when Mickan was coaching.
Only if the Eagles come to play for the whole 4 quarters will they even get close to Central. This will test the spirit of players and supporters.

Cripes - you lot hardly get that to a Grand **** Final. No chance this Saturday.
Cold and wet, 6 degrees - won't get 3,000, won't get near it...

The fact that it's not on TV and the Crows aren't playing increases the chances of some Eagles supporters actually being there. Hopefully they'll get a good crowd, I'm going for 4-5,000 crowd.

If they do the basics - keep pressure on and play in front - they could get a better result than some might think. The 'dogs did enough to win at Carlunga on Sunday - thankfully South couldn't bag a set shot to save 'emselves. I expect a close one for the best part of three quarters.

At this stage no rain forecast for Saturday. Six degrees overnight minimum, probably 10 - 11 degrees for the game (cold but not unbearable.) Anyway Eagles fans,
screw the cold, your team needs you.
With no Crows on, my guess would be 4300 to 4700.

For those who can, come see the juniors play before you make your way to Elizabeth.

Dogs are far better than the eagles, especially when you look at some of the injuries to the eagles. However, the dogs have been down in the last 2 weeks so now is the ideal time to hit them. The eagles may well get pumped, but if they are able to pull off a win, this could be the catalyst for a successful season. Still, I think the dogs by 20-30.

You Iggles get your best support at GFs - but it's hardly busting the seams of Footy Park.
How many do you think are going to trek to Lizbef on Saturday night - realistically. How did you go last week during a day game at Prossie.
If we get 3,000 plus at the game I'd take that as a terrific result.

This is really time for the Eagles to stand up. They will be without a lot of last years PREMIERSHIP TEAM, but this is 2007 and they need to really stand up for themselves and their supporters! I really think they can do it!

Don't give up the fight OWW - my renovations are 18 months in the making so far. Mrs smac understands that footy season is time to down tools.
Bseides, it's all external painting to be done now, might as well wait for spring now!
