Yes, seven of the nine listed for Central played at Central before going to the AFL. The only two who didn't were James and Chris. This is now their eighth season here so they are pretty much Central at heart too.

yes, i believe this is taking away from the 'magpie aura' that they had pre-afl and pre-power. Back in the day, the port players were true port, you know born and bred, bleed for the jumper etc etc..now these guys are just getting their kicks for $$$$. Most of the recruits they have now probably dont give a shit about the names cahill, williams, phillips etc...i guess when you are ripped in 2, you lose a bit of soul.
