New Stats Record?

North rover James Allan was outstanding in the middle of the ground, amassing a staggering 32 touches in the first half...

Surely that has to be a record?

Did this come from the Advertiser stats or the North Adelaide stats? Unfortunately, as it has come up a number of times recently, there is no one set of stats that everyone goes by like the AFL does - instead it's one for the fans (the Advertiser) and one for the clubs (the Teams stats). I don't have the half stats anyway; thanks to the Advertiser cutting out the quarter by quarter stats that was published in the Sunday Mail until 2000.

I was looking through the Adelaide Now website and in the article of today's game they mentioned it.

Then it would be the Advertiser stats then. I certainly haven't heard more than that myself, but it could have happened when Darel Hart had 57 possessions against Sturt in 1990.

 Lots of 1-2's I'm sure. ;)

36 of them were kicks, and North beat Sturt 27.18 to 3.2 (471 possessions to 280), so that may not have been the case. I'm sure someone on here went to that match may be able to elaborate on his performance that day, but those numbers probably are sufficient enough to describe his game that day (and both clubs for that matter).

That is one heck of a thumping! The possession differential is just insane.

We got shitty that day because we kicked so poorly - that's about the highlights of that lamentable game.
