I understand the Norwood football club are hunting down a so called supporter that abused a couple of Sturt players on Friday night with a reference made to the Bali Bombing.
Very sad if true, I hope Norwood find him and take action.

If that is the case, then so do I, I don't want dickheads like that at my club giving the rest of us a bad name ... Apologies to Sturt fans on behalf of the rest of the Norwood supporters.

There's a thread about this on Doubleblue.org. From what I have read it seems most Norwood fans are as disgusted about it as the Sturt fans. Well done to the Norwood football club for how they have dealt with this. The guy that said it obviously has a few loose screws.

Agreed and I hope the club find the person responsible and kick them out for the rest of the season. One of the player's fathers who witnessed it told me about the guy so it shouldn't be too hard to do.

a similar thing happened at a sturt west game 2 years ago @richmond i know the west 'supporter' who said what he did got baned from all home games for ther rest of that year

From memory...on 5AA yesterday the club gave a statement saying that they were fairly confident that they could identify the individual and would take action.

Why would people have the need to to bring up that horrific time that effected so many Australian people?

It's interesting to read the different reactions to this topic and the racial slur in the U/17's game. To me, the racial slur is probably the more serious matter, yet that kid is just learning rights and wrongs yet this bloke should be banned for a year? Both are complete idiots and neither should have said what they did. How far can clubs take something that is just spoken? I'm sure the people around him gave him a mouthful like he deserved, but that's probably all that is needed. Perhaps a good time for all clubs to remind their players, supporters and members to think before speaking and to say that offensive language isn't just swearing.

A couple of years ago one of the mob I stand with said something stupid about that subject... I remember telling him to shut the f*@# up. He kept going on for a minute after, I think another one of the guys grabbed him and asked him again to shut up.

Never saw the prick again.

Alledgedly the nfc have banned this guy from members entitlements, appologised to the SFC and passed on an appology from this person to the SFC.

A big pat on the back to the nfc.

Glad to hear it. I hope all clubs take similar action against anyone else that may be that stupid and ignorant. Lets hope none of them have to though.
