stuart dews' special comments on abc tv (sanfl coverage)

Postby bayman » Wed Jun 27, 2007 7:44 pm

i watched the replay last night & i'd just like to say i was impressed at his comments & thoughts as the game progressed, he said what he thought, said it simply, clearly & wasn't overbearing
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Agreed. Did you read the spot in the Sunday Mail saying he was sent away to get himself a tie toot-sweet or he wasn't going to air! Surely Aunty isn't that mean? He's a Centrals boy after all, a bit of leniency is required ;)

Supposedly lining up for Kersbrook in the next few weeks.

Incidently, what would be the cut off for him to decide to play the year out with the dogs?

As he has not played for another SANFL or AFL club this year, could we not just add him to our squad in the possibility that he plays later in the year?
I don't think this will happen but could it, legally?
Cheers.

i wouldn't think there would be a cut off as he would already be a registered central player, if he went to another club then i'd think it'd be june 30th.

this is what i think, i dont know if i'm right though

I sent a message to someone @ the ABC commenting on how good Dew was.
He's still my hero even if he is a little bit crap.

I might have to send a message to them saying he did a terrible job and that he needs to be off the air and playing for Central *grins*
Naw, I wish Stuey luck in whatever he does in life. A true gentleman and legend!!

I'm sure he'll bob up in the red white and blue before he's done.

Graham, even if he never plays for us again we will always love him. He has a true red, white and blue heart. He has even stated that he preferred playing for Central than for the Power.
Cheers.

Was cleared from Salisbury to Kersbrook some time ago, I would imagine they would have registered him in anticipation of him getting itchy feet.

Top lad, wish him well - I also wish he would play another season for the dogs. :D

Obviously his NFL dream has hit a snag.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

The 'NFL dream' was more a talkup by the media than something Stuey had his mind set on, I think.
