I reckon Westies are a definate chance here. It might require a 6 or seven goal effort from cupido though.

He has been in the position to do so every week except for the last two thumpings but he just cant seem to convert when we need him.

Lets hope he gets his radar right and he might make a few over aggressive posters on this site eat their words, and some of his pie's.

West must have played reasonable to be up by 5 goals at one point against North. Eagles must win to keep season alive and go into a much needed bye 6 and 6.

Are any of the injured Eagles coming back in this week ?
The Eagles need a big lift from their onballers and Forward line players.
the likes of Grocke Lindsey cica etc can not do all the work .The backline is performing great with the likes of Redden J Stewart but the eagles fall down when the ball goes forward . And Lindsey wins the tap and the eagles can not always get the ball away. The exception being the last quarter against port Cica and Lomas on ball turned the game.

IMHO the Eagles need to start well and keep the pedal to the metal.

According to injury list it looks like Peter Fiacchi will be available and Paul Stewart pending a fitness test. And the U/18's are still out. I'd be happy to go again with the team from last week with Fiacchi back in the side. All the young players performed well and deserve another game. Here is the Eagles injury list updated on the website today:

P. Stewart (shoulder) test
Colville (wrist) 1 week
Powell (thigh) 1 week
Rugolo (hand) 2 weeks
Batsanis (adductor) 2 weeks
Geddes (arm) 2 weeks
---------------------------
Hopefully get all of the above back after the bye plus Fairclough and other U/18's
---------------------------
Rimington (knee) 3 weeks
Inkster (hamstring) 3 weeks
Passador (knee) 4 weeks
McKenzie (foot) 5 weeks (Round 19)
---------------------------
R. Fiacchi (knee) season
C. Grocke (knee) season

Where the match is played means nothing. What goes on inside the players minds is what counts.

Well said spell check! The Eagles at the moment are all about mind, and Saturday shows that their minds are in the right place. Eagles by 36pts for me!

I'm tipping a similar margin. Good start is the key, AND we a great recent record against West at thebby with a 20.11 131 to 9.5 59 victory in round 13 2005 in front of an unbelievable crowd of 5,138.

This was the first of up to 3 games a year the eagles have secured at thebby for a six year period

This must be the third match in a row (not including the bye) that we have not had coverage.

I know we are the cellar dwellers at the moment but come on.

But on a lighter note I was just wondering if WWT qualify as the Bloods bitches if we beat them on Sat???

Last years grand finalists, would be sitting okay if they had of beaten the wooden spooners in either/both their games.....

Okay I am clutching at straws, well maybe straws on a different continent but a man has to have dreams......... If not he may as well barrack for Port.....ROTFLMAO.... 8)
