I missed the RPH show. Anybody got the ins/outs?
I see that Carlile has replaced Wakes in the Power line up. Ironic

Interesting that Tassie. Even with the extra inclusions this game is very hard to pick. Looking at the past 4 rounds, Port have had a bye, lost to Sturt by about 20 odd points, drew with resurgent Glenelg, and lost very narrowly to the Eagles. This is not such a terrible record, but from what I hear, in those last two losses the Magpies crumbled a bit, and appear to lack heart. In the past 4 rounds South have defeated West by a big margin, lost to Centrals by about 30 odd points, lost to North by a bit less and then had the bye. Those last two losses were against very quality sides, yet they were not disgraced, so it makes me think that perhaps the Panthers have something they can still deliver?
In the end this game will be decided by the side that wants it the most. Dis-interest seems to be the main reason that both sides are further down the ladder than people expected them to be. So potentially this could be a huge game between two evenly matched sides, or possibly end up as a yawn at the car-park completely lacking in intensity, until the final quarter where if the scores are close, both sides will suddenly realise that they have a good chance of winning adn show a bit of valour. Either way, a hard game to pick this one.

OK LEH
I'll put a carton of West End Draught on the South v Port game
drawing more people (as per the attendance figure in Mondays Advertiser)
than the Eagles v West game at Thebarton on Saturday.
Will you put one up, if we get more?
Please reply by 8pm Friday on this site to take me up on the offer.

Sure bet there Phil with hundreds of kids and their parents in attendance for the parade.
Maybe the bet should be who has more at the final siren!

What a stupid bet of course south will attract more people .not sure the great unwashed from Alberton will all make the drive to noarlunga after last weeks game.
All I can say is I hope south win .

Hmm, Im still deciding whether to go to Noarlunga or the Bay on Sunday, was leaning towards the Bay with Hargs only playing ressies but Im easily bought Phil!
Perhaps it could be time for me to do another half and half?
Haven't done that since the Port v Bays at Alberton and Sturt v Eagles game at Woodville a couple of years ago.

If it is such a stupid bet, maybe you should direct your comments to LEH there MickyJ. I think what Phil wrote is a very fair reply to LEH's less than modest crowd prediction. Pot kettle black, Horse dead flogging, Glass house living..whatever. No point taking a snipe if you haven't got anything to back it up with.
