In all seriousness BAyman it isn't funny (not saying you think it is) but a kids dream is being snuffed out becasue of some poor advice....

Hopefully he bounces back it gets back in the ones at Wests or failing that and hes delisted he comes back home to us and plays in front or behind a decent mid-field....and gets re-drafted

if he went home i'd think he'd go back to victoria & start from there & i wasn't being funny, i just think it shows chocko is sad moving players too quickly & if willo does get delisted i'd think it'd be more to do with him (chocko) than either west or glenelg

Sorry, I have walked in late concerning this bloke, but for a while I have read references to Willets but don't have the full story. From what I understand, Glenelg weren't playing him where Choko wanted, or he was dropped to the Glenelg reserves, in either case Choko moved him to West because they looked more willing to play dice? Also, did the Bays pick him up in the "mini-draft" or was he originally picked up by the Bays, and then drafted by the Power when they saw potential in him? Sounds like a rotten story of a bloke stuck in a crack in the system in either case, getting moved from club to club like he is because of conflicting wishes.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

He was listed in Doug's paper as being out for 2 weeks with a quad injury on Wednesday. That is a much more plausible reason for him being "omitted", especially since he took 9 marks vs North. There is no way he would be dropped.

I can guarantee that he is injured. He'll be out for two weeks with a quad injury, sustained during the North game.

He showed a lot of character to finish the game, in my opinion.

His form at Westies has been very good and his attitude first class.

I really like the way he has come to games and supported the club even when he is injured, I am sure this cannot be said for all AFL listed players in the SANFL

Was Douglas picked up on the Mini draft?

Or was he a SANFL junior?

I would have been absolutely amazed if he was dropped after how he played last week given he was hampered slightly by injury.

The 'Tiser managed to have him listed today as an injured "out" with a quad so how come the Chief SANFL writer in Doug Roberston doesn't know given those the teams would have been suplied last night prior to his weekly "Know all" opinionated segment on RPH.

Maybe Doug should spend less time in the bar (including when he reports on games) and he might be a hell of a lot more accurate instead of the off the mark guess work and opinions we get currently.

That's a common story about Doug being in the bar, but is it true?

I've sat next to him in a press box, and also seen him in the grand stands on various occasions.

Is this just an apochryphal tale?
