color co-ordination with shorts

Postby bayman » Sun Jul 08, 2007 7:56 pm

i've been watching the richmond v north melb match & richmond are wearing yellow shorts so should west go back to red & glenelg to yellow (not gold as that didn't work) etc, rather than wearing predominately white shorts ? as i think it looks great

Agree.
Richmond looked good (fashion wise that is) tonight and so did Essendon.
West should wear white shorts though when they play Port,South & Norwood though.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

I've always thought the yellow/red shorts look good with Glenelg & West.

Didn't Norwood wear them too??

Centrals looked best in red shorts though.....

Still have my red shorts from the playing days at Centrals, mrs smac loves it when I wear them gardening.

I reckon we should still wear them perhaps for home games with white for away.

Going for the opposite tact, I'd like to see North wear white shorts instead of red shorts.

Coloured Shorts is by far the better way of going, White Shorts can clash with the white on the other sides guernsey. Going coloured is a lot better if watching on TV!

West Torrens also wore yellow shorts for a couple of seasons in the 70s.

North go the white

"only" 33, bosvit!

Loved the yellow shorts .. so easy to distinguish! 8)

Maybe a good idea for games such as Essendon-Richmond, Carlton-Footscray or Essendon-Melbourne, etc.

250 up ... I'm now an Under 17, yay!

BTW ... what was the story with the North jumper last weekend? Any special reason? It's wasn't pretty that's for sure.

It ranked down there with the old Geelong West VFA outfit - a white jumper with a red "GW" and red number on the back, white shorts and red socks.

If West should, then why wouldn't Glenelg or Norwood?
