The last time they met Norwood were on a roll, and the result seemed strange in magnitude.
The Eagles have lost two games that will affect their finals - the West loss early in the year, and the last time these two sides met. They'll touch Norwood up a bit...

We now have a taller forwad line this year that keeps improving .This should be a great game at Norwood .

A very important game for us given North have the bye.
If we win then only half a game behind North and the double chance.
Need all WWTFC fans in strong voice at the Parade on saturday.

Norwood could face a few headaches at the AFL selection tables ... Would expect to lose Campbell and possibly Pfeiffer and Lower, and unfortunately I think we're still too reliant on AFL-listed players.
Haven't seen the Eagles since we last played and I know they are better than that, and from all reports are slowly approaching that level.
Norwood holds no fears for them so I'd imagine we could be in for a torrid afternoon ... If the players keep the determination and spirit of recent weeks it should keep the margin in check (to a degree) and perhaps give ourselves a crack at knocking them off, but 1 - I don't like our chances of catching them napping again and 2 - We're not playing aswell as we were the last time we met them.

The Eagles are starting to build some consistency and have really only just recovered from the thrashing Norwood gave us last time. Will be looking for revenge and momentum coming into a really tough month ahead.
Will be interesting to see how Fuller handles selection. He has a host of experienced players coming back through reserves, but there is no need to rush them all back in as the current group has been winning and is settled. Only McKenzie and Vince (both 2 weeks away) will be unavailable for selection.
Playing Norwood at The Parade on a Saturday afternoon is one of the games I most look forward to each season. A ground full of tradition and great viewing from the outer wing (during daylight!).
Will be season defining and a win should guarantee us a finals position and a real chance at a top 3 spot.

Meesen is another in the frame for the Crows after kicking 6 goals from resting in the forward line in the last 2 weeks. Also missing from the last time these 2 sides met are Massie, Thomas and Vince who all sizzled at Thebarton earlier this year.
I hope Trev Hill gives every Norwood player a copy of the DVD of the last game to watch the way they ran in numbers through the middle - was the best we have played for some time IMHO.

Didn't list Meeson as I don't reckon he'll get called up .. Even if he does, I think he's more replaceable than the others mentioned.
Thommy should be just about back this week, although having missed 6 or 7 weeks you couldn't expect too much from him.
Agreed on our performance at Thebby earlier this year, was our best performance in the last 5 years imho.

And I bet the umpires wish you'd miss a week LEH
My lad and I will be there cheering and yelling as normal .
A smaller ground might work wonders for our fullforward line with one long kick just about making the square some high flying hangers maybe in the offing.
Go you mighty Eagles.

Lower may go if there are injuries to cover, but I can't see Campbell, Pfeiffer, or Meesen, getting an AFL game this year. And Massie may be back too. The Crows are unlikely to go for the radical changes the fans are clamouring for. They Crows hierarchy are conservative to a man - and i agree they are too conservative.

I hope that Vince is fully fit to play League, as I don't want him in the League side if the Crows said for him to be there just to get match fit.

The Crows selection will decide this game.
Personally I think the Crows will take Campbell......and no one else will go. Maybe Meeson.
Should be a good game a season definer for both clubs.

The Crows have included Campbell and Jericho in their squad of 25. You would think at least one of these will travel as an emergency.
Vince shouldn't have lost too much match fitness. He only has really missed one SANFL game. Will be a good inclusion for us. He usually plays well against Norwood and his penetrating kick should be handy on the small ground.
The Eagles need to keep on their winning ways. Any loss to sides below us from here on in will spell the end to any chances of a top 3 finish.
Would never have picked at the start of the season that the following names were in the league team: J Stewart, Giuffreda, Fitzgerald, Pavlich, Redden whilst Passador, Colville, Inkster, P Stewart and Rugolo are in the reserves.
