Postby power01 » Sat Jul 21, 2007 12:35 am

yes i know its early but with a break, good crowds and the Maggies hitting some form, who knows the dogs might not dominate like they are used to..........Games at Alberton................so ladies and gentleman we might just have a ripper of a game on our hands!!!!!!!

Far out...one win in two months and suddenly the Maggies are "on fire". I got shot down for saying Glenelg would be competitive vs the Doggies. I cant wait to see the response from doggies fans to this post. As Wedgie said "no Hargy, no Maggies". Maybe star recruit Batson can kick 8 .

To me the port fans will all be happy and great and then 10 minutes into the game they'll all go home because no way in hell will port beat the dogs.Either the fight in the crowd (we all know Port fans can't keep it shut)or the game on the field.

sure with no hargs and big clive numbers are abit thin,,,,,but the forward can and will still produce............we have a number of goal sneaks as runners,,,etc.....i still think we have a good shot at a great game,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
the young blokes will have to step up and if that the case (mind u i am being a little ambitious)................but if they play to the same intensity as was evident against the roosters, anything coud happen,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

remember these are ramblings of a Port supporter desprite for them get in to the finals.......................

Power01

I think your Avatar says it all

"Bugger is that the score...."

or is it

"These blokes are huge.......screw you guys, I'm going home....."

Magpies to become Dog Pies IMO

Thinking you are going to be competitive against the Dogs based on beating North is a bit far fetched isn't it :?

The only way we are going to win is to change our set up. We can't look for one key forward (which has only paid off twice this year anyway) and our defence neds to hold off their scoring oportunities. This week i think we will have to rely on our midfield to get the ball forward as often as they can and also stop centals running the ball strieght back down the ground. Every player needs to be switched on ohterwise we will get thumped

So to summarise if your defence, midfield and attcak can get on top you are in with a chance :? I think you're onto something there

I did ramble on a bit basically the only way i think we can win is if all our players are switched on. and that will still make it a close game because of the class of the central team
