'Stay Away Fans' ###!!##$$!!!

I can't believe what I am reading... 'for those eagle fans that won't go to Elizabeth'...

You must be kidding me !!!!!

A season defining match against the clear Premiership Favourite ( sorry Sturt bangwagon jumpers but you haven't done ANYTHING until September ).

I am astounded that there is talk of not going out to the 'pondarosa'.

Given fine weather, is there a better place (apart fron Adelaide Oval) to watch the SANFL ???
I think not !!

If there is a 'grumble' about the Doggies Fans, I would say to you that they are no worse than North, Port or Sturt Fans.

For Goodness Sake Eagle 'supporters'... GET OUT THERE on Saturday, should be a 'beauty' provided our guys are 'switched on' for the ENTIRE 120 mins.

GO YOU EAGLES !!!

Never thought I'd say it, but well posted LEH.

I had to chuckle when I read that post also. I'll give the poster the benefit of the doubt, and think it was meant in a different context.

And it's not just the destination that's top notch, it's the beautiful drive out there, along South Road and up Salisbury Highway. The only unfortunate thing, is the Eagles aren't playing under lights this time...

Well now I would not say every EAGLE fans is soft.I will be there with my lad .And I can always hear LEH at the ground.
Were you at Norwood last saturday ? I was and I had to listen to some rubbish from Norwood fans all day.Starting with an old ethnic(no racist harm meant) Norwood fan who wanted to have a go at the nice EAGLES ladies who are friends of CD in the two's.
To a Norwood father with a small child who by the sounds of it doesn't live with dad.The racist comments by this guy passed onto his son about one of your own team was a disgrace. Not to mention the constant yelling and screaming gibberish coming from the young kids mouth.

So after the year we have had traveling around from ground to ground and different fans why not visit the far northern ground.
Who cares where the EAGLES play come heaven or hell I'll be there.

Just like my attitude towards Norwood, and of course I was there on Saturday.

If you are going to base teams and soft fans purely on those who don't go to Elizabeth, every club has them.

So Apachebulldog the 2 elderly couples that sit near me in the grandstand at woodville will not travel to Elizabeth. They appear to be over 70 does that make them soft. How many in that age group will travel to woodville from elizabeth?
But you are correct about supporters Eagles do not have that many !!

No need to apologise LEH. We and our bandwaggoners are more than happy to acknowledge the Bulldogs as (raging) premiership favourites.

P.S where was it mentioned that some Eagles fans won't be making the trip up? I'd be interested in reading that discussion.

Stupid topic

If every fan of every club travelled to every game then we would have 8000 plus per game.

Those that can make it - great

Those that can't - thats there decision

Sounds like some people want a badge " Im an SANFL HERO" for going to every game

Have you ever offered them a ride Mick? I used to take an elderly lady to most dogs away games who I met only through sitting near her for years at home games. After discovering she didn't go to away games as she didn't like catching multiple buses and was unable to drive great distances, I started driving from Broadview to Elizabeth to pick her up for away games she wanted to attend. Sadly, she passed away a few years ago.

Hats off to you SMAC :D
No I have never offered truth be told .Its funny with the older ones they started chatting to me and my lad.We always have a chat and when home games are at thebby they look for us because they feel safe sitting near people they know .

I am not looking to be called a hero just do not like being labeled as soft. :D
And I know Eagles fans that only turn up grand final day and then complain about losing.

Good On Ya O_W_W,

You would be one of these blokes that wears a FORMER club's scarf to the footy, or turns up to Woodville, Adelaide & Footy Park only, would you ???

FFS... all I'm stating is the BLEEDING OBVIOUS, that ALL our supporters should be there on Saturday regardless.

I too have given Older supporters a lift in the past (case in point, Noarlunga Round 1), can't see why others can't do the same but...

If we are serious about getting OUR CLUB (not some corporate entity, but CLUB) to becoming anywhere near as powerful as Centrals have become, then we require ALL supporters (even those in their Woodville or Torrens Scarves) to turn up EVERY WEEK, regardless of the location.

And FFS buy the WWT Scarves, Merchandise, save the others for HERITAGE ROUNDS ONLY !!!

Can not make it as I will be at Woodville Oval helping with the Juniors. But for those who do not want to go Elizabeth, then come along to Woodville. By all means we want as many Eagles supporters out at Elizabeth, but I'm giving an option for those who don't want to go up there.
