ha ha, I got a mention, there's 2 articles, one in regard to South revieiwing its football dept (if I get the time I'll type that one out) but this one is the one we're interested in:

Web forum pans Pyman
Users of the safooty.net forum had mixed reactions in a recent online discussion about South Adelaide's poor performances and coach Robert Pyman.
The majority of contributors on the forum called for Pyman to be replaced while a handful backed him to continue in the top job at Noarlunga.
This is a sample of what they said:
Stanhammer - "At some point the coach has to be accountable for the results. If he cannot implement a game plan that consistently gets results, its time up."
Jimmy - "Seems as though the players don't care much for him, best to part ways methinks."
Wedgie - "Leave Pyman alone, a top bloke and the potential to be a top coach. The people at the club who are saying bad things about him are the very reason the club's going backwards in my opinion."
Saintal - "I'd stick with Pyman. The buck stops with the playing group in my opinion."

Na, they would have got it from the website. It cant be that hard to log in as a member i wouldnt imagine. Dougy Robertson had his connections too.

It might sound a bit precious, but they shouldnt broadcast 'members only' material in mainstream media. But i cant blame them though. Made a great story didnt it?

Why would the club put that on the site, surely only the inner sanctum and members need to know.

There was a story on the guy who kicked 30 odd goals in the amateur league the other day and he mentioned the safooty.net forums. Was the story before the add break leading into the sport.

-----------------------------
To explain

- New to 2007 and thanks to Nick "Sccop" Hook we do 2 weekly audio podcasts for our members
Monday - Recording of Senior Presentations & Player Interviews
Thursday - Panthers Radio, 30 minute radio style show

- These are placed in the "Members Only" section of the web site
ie not intended for Joe Public but an extra service to our members
Audio tends to be a better communciation channel than print because in addition to the words to also get the tone.

- The speech as publicised in the media was part of the Senior Presentations after the Norwood game, hence why it was recorded and placed on the "Members Only" section.

- I believe that many members found it insightful to get direct (without 3rd party editing) the thoughts of the President.

- Alas two media outlets got access to the material and publicised it, alas without a full disclosure re getting it from a "members only" communication.

- We have had some great feedback on the podcasts from members who appreciate this style of direct communication and it is my intention to continue them both in their current format.

- Members are advised to have a listen to Panthers Radio tomorrow (Thurs Aug 2) as there will be an interview with Ben Kavenagh re this weeks announcement (currently being mailed out to members).

Yes, SAFooty was mentioned on channel ten.
The guy who kicked 33 goals said the record would be broken this year, so he'd check out the "SA Footy Forum" to see what happens.
