Westies are everywhere

Postby redandblack » Fri Aug 03, 2007 10:04 pm

We can't win a game and we wonder why.

I'm watching the Bulldogs and St Kilda and all I see is Eagleton to Tiller, across to Cooney, cut off by Sam Fisher......

It's the same every week.

I know, it's not relevant, but.......... :(

The AFL will always be there taking the best juniors. SANFL clubs need to follow the lead of Centrals and build a sustainable club structure and playing group that achieves success in spite of the inevitable drafting of young talent.

Sam Fisher is from the Riverland.

I think Tiller is from Eyre Peninsula.

I think Eagleton and Cooney are both from the southern suburbs as you say.

There are some other good ones from there, too. Beau Waters is one.

But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Yep Cooney is a Flaggy Boy along with Eagleton and while Waters was from the riverland he boarded in Aberfoyle Park

YOur right about it being a gold mine of young talent down here....went for a walk around Happy Valley oval the other night and it was junior training night and there would have been 80-90 kids training on the oval

I just need to find a Westies fan who lives in Glenelg's area so I can register my sons at their address!

We're actually in the Panthers area.
Mind you a couple of decent torpedo's to our North East and we'd be in blood's territory and a couple of decent torpedo's to our North West and we'd be in the Bays territory.
Ive already got the clearance fee to North put aside though.

Pesonally I think everything south of Darlington should be South's area.

interesting topic..
my father was brought up in wayville-then souths area. Now sturt
I was brought up in st marys- then souths area. Now west
my brother lives in flagstaff hill-westies area.
my niece lives in moana- now souths area.
can you see a pattern emerging... there will probably be a day in the not too distant future when South home ground is at Parndana.

Easy to see why many at the safc feel it has been done over by the sanfl for the last 100 yrs.
