South Fremantle will retain the services of defender/midfielder Theo Adams for the 2006 season.

Adams was keen to play for SANFL club South Adelaide and agreed to terms with the club, however he was still contracted to South Fremantle for the 2006 season.

South Fremantle were not prepared to clear Adams to the SA club, meaning he will line up in the red and white again as South attempt to go back-to-back Premiers.

South Fremantle Football Manager Marty Atkins told FootyGoss that Adams was happy to line up with the Bulldogs for the up coming season.

Atkins also said the club was keen to discuss the possibility of extending Adams' contract.

Adams had an outstanding season for the Bulldogs in 2005, capping off his season by booting four goals in the Grand Final.

I don't mean to sound disrespectful to the Panthers but you've got to wonder what sort of money they're throwing around at average players to entice them away from successful clubs like South Freo where they've already got a contract :?:

Ironic that South Adelaide sign a contracted player (expecting him to break his contract), while SA refuse to release Tuckey (expecting him to hpnour his contract).

Chalk and cheese as moving from South to North makes sense, moving from South Freo to South Adelaide does not IMHO.

Who was the club that approached a contracted South player mid last season with a view to bolstering their ruck division prior to finals?

..and your club was very happy to let him go, but it couldn't be done after 30 June.....

..and the same player is (allegedly) still keen to change clubs. Not that it will probably matter.

Well it is no secret Jars tried to snag Clarke last year - it was reported in the press.
As for phantoms post - Tuckey rang our Football Manager (and another few clubs apparently) shopping himself around - as is Neely. both were told "Not interested."
