We currently sit at 12 wins 5 losses.

The future of the SFC is assured under the astute administration we currently have at Unley

I confess to not watching the game Sturt game today, yet I did watch the game last week on the ABC.

The Eagles seem to have the wood on Sturt for a number of games, Still Sturt could well break that hoodoo in style in the SANFL finals!

LMAO, um, well I guess it depends how many times an era has been stated, so I think this could be a record. Don't quote me on that though. ;)

In actual fact I think this is the first era this season, the others were renaissances.

OK spelly,

Lets base an era as finishing the season 5th or higher on at least 5 consecutive years.
Unless someone else can come up with a better criteria?

What are the results kemosapi.

I'd expand a little in that a club must have won a premiership in that time.

So:
Central 2000-
Eagles 1999-
Glenelg 1973-78
Glenelg 1984-90
North 1900-08
Norwood 1897-01
Norwood 1903-10
Norwood 1920-26
Norwood 1928-33
Norwood 1937-50
Norwood 1972-90
Norwood 1993-02
Port 1897-15
Port 1924-32
Port 1934-41
Port 1950-68
Port 1970-82
Port 1984-01
South 1897-05
South 1935-40
Sturt 1910-19
Sturt 1930-36
Sturt 1964-71
Torrens 1948-55
West 1956-63

CLASSIC!!!
Love this thread, well done to all involved so far (Smithy, Sturt Peter, Tassie etc..). Reads like Monty Python script for mine!
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
1915, 1919, 1926, 1932, 1940, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1974, 1976, 2002, 2016, 2017

You could grant an honorary era to Woodville for each year they made the 'Five seeing as though they are the only club to miss out on your list ... or would they be renaissances?

There have been two occasions where a club has made the finals 5 times in a row, but did not win the flag in that time:

Norwood 1952-58
Central 1993-98
