CALLING ALL BULLDOG & BLUES SUPPORTERS.

Postby CENTURION » Tue Aug 21, 2007 11:36 am

Hello Team,

On Saturday night at Hamra Homes Oval, Elizabeth we take on Sturt in a top of the table clash.

We need a crowd of 5,630 to break 40,000 for our home match attendance this season.

If we are successful it will be the first time we have broken 40,000 since the crows started playing in the AFL.

If we have a crowd in excess of 2,613 it will be our biggest home match attendance since the crows inception but we are aiming to crack through the 40,000.

Our previous best is 36,986 back in 1998.

We would appreciate any support you may be able give us to promote the game this week.

And ask all of you to encourage as many people as possible to come along on Saturday night.

BE THERE and bring everyone you know!

Thank you very much.

Apparently it has a "Puff the Magic Dragon" horn, Meet The Fockers style. Will go down a treat at Elizabeth.

What about minibus jokes??

Apparently the (mini)bus is called Kevin Higgins - only half a coach......

It is a rather dry old joke Tassie but, ahem, which of the following were not mini-buses? No wonder that the club needed to expand their carpark.

K Hodgeman (1991-1992),
Mark Williams (1993-1994),
T Symonds (1995-1996),
W Stringer (1997),
Tony McGuinness (1998-2000),
B Honor (2001-2002),
D Noble (2003-04),
P Simmons (2005),
T Burgess (2005)

Touche, yep not a good record but Hodgey, Chocco and McGuinnss did soemthing that neither Davies, Higgins, Trigg and Bunton...couldn't do.....

And only McGuinness and Honor (shudder) have suffered the same ignomey as the four Sturt "coaches"

Anyway play on.....

That bus/van that Robert Deniro had in meet the Fockers was a beauty. You cant tell me you wouldnt love to have one of your own?
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Good luck to the Dogs on attaining their target, probably something that wont be repeated with teams having more home games this year because of the Adelaide Oval getting relaid.
